This week I created a sales pitch for Aggressive Technologies as Rikaro. I wanted to add to the lore of Rikaro’s relationship with the company. I wanted some sense of tension in this pitch, so I made Rikaro question the use of AI for everything. He wanted to use AI for the benefit of humanity, not the replacement of them.
Also, my group came up with some ideas on how our project should go and I can see some promising results happening in the future. Emphasizing our character’s personalities will make this a unique radio show.
This week there were four tasks assigned to us, two of which I’ll reflect on here!
The first one was to pitch an AI tool to Aggressive Technologies for them to acquire. I chose NightCafe to pitch since it is an AI tool I have become much more familiar with recently. I explored more about this tool and decided to pitch based on the potential profits and the user-friendly design. I figured it would be most beneficial to sell someone on the best qualities that will keep people coming back to use it and make the most money for the site. I encourage you to check it out and generate some images for yourself.
The next assignment was three daily creates this week. You can see mine on my Mastodon page. The first one I did this week gave me the opportunity to use an interesting art tool that I had not used before. My favorite part about this daily create was seeing everyone else’s art they created and how different it was from my own. The second daily create was asking about addictions people had, which was interesting to read through. The last one was adding a modern appliance into an old image or photo. I decided to look up one of my favorite photos and see what would work best in the context and decided to add an apple watch to it. This was a fairly light week in terms of work, and I’m definitely not complaining!
My favorite assignment was the AI Pitch. It was actually very helpful looking through all of the AI on Rundown AI for my own research. I even downloaded an ecommerce tool to help me out at work by automating the process of writing a product description. I actually had an impromptu meeting with a developer who wanted to build an LLM for our website doing something similar, so I was grateful that I had already done some research on the topic and could ask more questions. I didn’t have any issues with this assignment and used it as an opportunity to expand the IBU (Isaiah Beacon Universe) by writing as his personal assistant.
Choosing my group was fairly straightforward, and I’m happy that it’ll be a lot easier to start now that we’ve begun communicating. I joined my group because I liked the idea to discuss AI from different perspectives. When thinking about my character and this idea, I definitely think that my character will be very confrontational with any anti-AI figures and will try to steal the show in general.
Looking back at this week it was definitely a short one. I felt like I was able to complete my work in a timely manner. The three daily creates I did for the week were fun and interesting in my opinion. My favorite would have to be the one about something we can’t go a day without. I felt like everyone could relate to this daily create. I said my addiction was coffee. I always have a cup in the morning, as it helps me get through the day. I feel a good amount of people definitely could relate to a coffee addiction as it is essential for me and others. For my AI proposal to Aggressive Technologies, I chose to go with Gemini. Gemini is a text AI by google that provides a large amount of publicly available data and can communicate and generate human-like text in response to a wide range of questions. I chose to use Gemini because I have used this AI in the past and it is easy and simple to use, so I thought it would be a perfect fit for Aggressive Technologies. For my radio show I am working with Jackson Beale and Andrew Johnson. Our show’s objective is to talk about the day in the life of our AI created characters for DS106. I am excited to work with them to give an inside scoop of our three different types of characters. I’m eager to get a start on our show and look forward to the results. Overall, this week was short but intriguing. I’m looking forward to week 9. Until next Time!
This week started with me joining my group for the upcoming audio assignments Im excited about. My group has a good theme and I think it will create an open podcast type vibe. It was alos nice reading and writing on other peoples ideas for their shows. From there I made and posted my daily creates and enjoyed messing around with different AI’s for those. Those three will be linked below. Then I did the AI sales pitch assignment in which I pitched the idea of screw together skis which was a funny episode from Curb Your Enthusiam. In the show Larry David gets backlash for it and it was called a dumb idea but ChatGPT didnt think so, they liked it and thought it was innovative. It was a short week but it felt better to be back. The past weeks I was undisciplined as I got busy doing research for my psychology research team. It was a goal I had not to do that but I did and just have to move on and not do it again. Im looking forward to these upcoming weeks, though! All my work is linked below!
The nap I am about to take after I finish this and my final homework . . . (it won’t be a nap, I will be going to bed).
In this class, this week was actually kinda fun! I met my groupmates!! I’m actually really excited. Sol might be being interviewed by Dr. Ravioli on Ravioli Radio along with Natasha Sidorov, Dolly, and Lady Alice. Very excited to see what we’re going to come up with!!
Other than that, I didn’t do a whole lot for the class, but here are my posts!
I talked about the Daily Creates in the post, and you can see them all! They were all fairly simple, either just fiddling with an art program, thinking about my cat, or clicking some buttons on Canva! Honestly, a typical week of Daily Creates for me. Nothing stood out, so I don’t really have much else to say!
First thing I want to say about this, is that I did it wrong . . . I have so much to do after this assignment, so I just did not process the instructions correctly. I thought we were using AI to explain why our character should acquire Aggressive Technologies or should put Aggressive Technologies out of business, not use AI to explain why Aggressive Technologies should acquire the AI or put the AI out of business. I guess I just am letting out my inner Sol and hating Aggressive Technologies too much that it’s impacting how I read . . .
I really had no idea until I was doing my commenting and I was like “oh this person did this assignment wrong” and then I clicked at another person’s and saw that it was the same and I started scratching my head.
Anyways, it’s too late to change it, so I’m keeping it and that’s just how it’s going to be.
I used a video creator AI to explain why Aggressive Technologies should be put out of business, creating a TikTok-esc 1-minute video about how Aggressive Technologies threatens human creativity. Sol made the script, and used the AI to show that there are some things that AI can be good with, like creating text to speech, but there are other things that AI goes too far on, and that’s when it becomes a threat.
It was fairly easy, nothing really deep or big about it! I enjoyed the assignment all up until I realized I did it wrong (but I’m exaggerating, I’m not too beat up about it).
NEXT WEEK GOAL! Learn how to read the instructions and start my work in all my classes earlier so I don’t do everything at 7pm on Friday when everything’s due. Or just tell my job I can’t come in every other day this week in the morning when I usually do my homework.

I appreciate how this week had a slow start, it was much needed after spring break.
Starting off this week, I was having trouble finding a group for the radio shows. I had my name under the “looking for a group” but still had no luck. I then saw and read the description of the group created by Latifah, who then I contacted via email to join since it sparked my interest!
Moving forward, I started with my first daily create, When Two Worlds Collide. If it wasn’t for these daily creates, I would’ve never known about these art tools. I love playing around with the tools and having my own interpretation of the art.
My next daily create was my addiction – Always Caffeinated. Here I also shared how I am fasting this month and how I’m working around my coffee addiction. Additionally, the delicious latte I was served while being 40,000 feet in the air!
Next, was the assignment of the week, AI Sales Pitch. Where I explored an AI tool, AI Room Planner. Here I discussed the functionality of the overall tool and why Aggressive Technologies should acquire this tool. It’s a really fun and interactive website that offers various styles you can configure your room to be and find some inspiration. However, the tool does require a few tweaks for it to function more accurately.
Lastly, the third and final daily create of the week which was the Ferrari At The House. I could talk about cars all day long! I chose a Ferrari since it’s my favorite F1 team!

Week 8 was a long week for me, I was busy a lot of the times but I am glad this class is a good creative break for me! I am excited to join a radio show and I hope I can bring a lot to the team! and I had a fun time pitching an AI art tool. I like flipping to my course characters mindset and write like them.
Oh! and of course the daily creates, always a fun little assignment to do!
I felt like being able to use AI tools is really fun to see the amount of tools we have in the world! Being able to learn and be creative with a tool is always helpful.
This week has been a breeze. I enjoyed everything I did for this class. The daily creates were very good and they made me be creative. I am looking forward to the radio show with my group mates Andrew Poon and Andrew Johnson. I think we have a really good group and we will have plenty of topics to discuss.
One thing I have noticed about the daily creates is you can make it personal! I am a guy who loves all sports especially the NBA. I love watching Kawhi Leonard break his opponents ankles on the way to dunking over the tallest centers. The way he plays is special so I decided to make a piece of art after him.
This week I started by making my three daily creations that were required.

My favorite of the three daily creations was “My Addiction” because Battlefield 1 was and still is the best masterpiece of gaming I have ever been a part of. Although created 8 years ago, the graphic designs are on point, allowing the user to choose various multiplayer options with servers still being open.
Following this, my group for the ds106 radio audio project will dive into the aspects of different AI characters and their role in modern society. I am happy to be teaming up with Andrew Poon and Jackson Beale to create exciting content for all viewers.
Lastly, my sales pitch to Aggressive Technologies for the purchase of Claude AI came out very successful. I am interested to see where this takes my character in terms of his career.
