To kick off this post with a bang, tune in and listen to POP Perception!
I hope you guys enjoyed that beginning as much as my group and I are quite proud of it.
This week was pretty much easier once the radio show was out of the way and done. We had two daily creates and our radio show progress. Additionally, there was the usual commenting. So exciting to read and listen to what everyone has been creating the past two weeks!
During this week, I used a variety of tools. Canva for my daily create, and then Audacity, Pixabay, AI Text-To-Speech, and a specific JARVIS voice for the radio show. Learned a lot through trial and error, but planning and being organized helped me get through this week!
These were fun and easy peasy! I love the ones where I get to open art programs and put stuff together and fiddle with things. It’s so fun to me, really revives the creative kid inside that was brutally murdered to focus on school. They’re back!!
Making these updates is always so fun to me, so this was nice to make. It makes me realize how far we’ve come and just how the process has been. It’s very comforting, actually!! It also makes me know how much work we put into it, so that we should be proud of it, and I am proud of the radio and of my group
I love this so much, I actually don’t remember the last time I had so much fun in a group project. Group projects are supposed to be miserable, that’s how they always have been, but this was FUN?? I think I was blessed with the most fun and creative group members, and I really could not have done it all without them!
Communication was amazing. Everyone contributed, everyone worked hard, and I just feel very warm to have done all of this with them. So, huge thank you to my group for creating this with me. I’m very happy to have done all of this with you guys!! We created something great!!
I talked about the process before in the post and the process post, so I’ll save you that story again. Just know that I’m very happy with our hard work.
I have no idea what we’ll be up to next week, after doing all of this, so I am kind of nervous! But I guess I’ll see where this all goes.
This week was pretty chill other than radio show work and I really needed that. My schedule is pretty busy so finding time to get my part done was difficult, but I did it. Unfortunately, I was last to get my part in, but it is what it is. The daily creates were chill too, and fun. I’d say I had a cool experience making the show and it would definitely be fun to do a podcast in person with some friends. Anyway, check out my work embedded below.
This week has been very eventful. I have enjoyed working on my radio show and I am excited to see what we have in store for the next week. I am excited to talk about Himothy. I think people are going to be astonished with what he goes through on a day to day basis.
I am also very excited to hear about Jonathan and Leo Storm. From what I have heard they are also very impressive and their lives are very entertaining.
To start off this week, I decided to complete my two daily creates. You can find them here (Daily Create: March 25th & Daily Create: Dave!) if you wish to check them out. Following my daily creates, I began continuous progress on my radio show. I used my knowledge of iMovie to work on some intros and commercials that could be added. That said, my other group members have worked on banners and outros that can be used in our casting development. Overall, the week went by quicker than expected but we have finished with a final product that will allow viewers to open their imagination and explore the realms of different lives in AI form.
This week’s sole assignment was to finish our audio project, which my group accomplished with success! Our project may be found at this link:Audio Show. I discussed all of the work we did this week to make our radio show the best it could be in the second radio show progress. You can read about the entire project that my group and I worked on at this link: Radio Show Progress #2. I left comments on a few of my classmates’ posts, the most of which were daily creations. You may find my postings at Tuesday’s Daily Create and Wednesday’s Daily Create. This week’s daily creates were thought-provoking prompts. All in all, a productive workweek.
Clearly, the most enjoyable aspect of this week was assembling the audio project. Although our group laid much of the foundation last week, this week’s project assembling was really satisfying. The entire audio show project process was a lot of fun, from collaborating with other group members to coming up with ideas to filming our commercial!
I really wouldn’t change a thing. I believe I did the best I could on each assignment. At this moment, I have no questions. As of right now, everything is completed accurately thus there aren’t any significant problems with my work.
So this week was pretty light in terms of the work we needed to do in order to meet the requirements for the week. The main thing we had to was to actually finish our group radio show and blog about our progress on the project as well. For that, I created a separate blog post that talks about my progress and what the team worked on throughout the week. Following that post we had to write, we also were required to complete two daily creates this week and the first one, Daily Create #1, was done on Friday. This daily create had us create a new design for a bicycle, and unoriginally, I decided to just add an motor to it so that it go at faster speeds by still looking somewhat like a bicycle. That daily create was a little simple and I found it somewhat difficult to create a new design for something as old as a bicycle and knew there were already so many different versions of the product already on the market and have been thought about. Moving on, my second daily create, Daily Create #2, was completed on Sunday. This daily create had us use a spot image generator and create an image using spots of various sizes, colors, and dimensions, and we were tasked with coming up with a cool design with interesting colors. From my post, you can see that after messing around with the tool for a little while, I was able to come up with something enjoyable to look at and I really enjoyed this one because I was able to mess around with the tool for a little while and create something unique and interesting. Finally, I finished off the week with some commenting so that other people could get positive feedback on their work. Last but not least, you can listen to my groups radio show at the following link.
I did not encounter too many issues this week when completing my assignments. I thought things went pretty smoothly this week and I enjoyed doing all of the assignments. From this week, I would say that creating and editing the radio show was my favorite. This is because I found it very enjoyable to create a radio show and was finally able to use all the skills that I had garnered over the past couple weeks and put them use. Once again, I did not encounter any issues this week for any of the assignments.
I definitely think that I accomplished all of the requirements for the assignments for this week and I think I did them to the best of my ability. Like stated before, my favorite assignment was the radio show. I would not do anything differently for the work that I did this week as it was completed with effort, time, and creativeness. I believe that there are no larger issues at hand with my work. I think that the assignments were done properly and with effort. I do not have any further questions at this time for the class. One thing I think I did really well this week was use my previously gained skills in Audacity and put them to good use because I was able to edit together all of the various sound clips, radio bumpers, and commercials with merely no hiccups and so I am happy with that result, as well as how the radio show turned out. .
As I look back at the week the first thing that stands out to me is the progress my group has made on the radio show. We have a couple of radio bumpers and introductions ready to pick from to incorporate in our radio show. All of our radio bumpers and introductions were made on audacity. We also talked about including ads in our show. We haven’t recorded anything yet, but our plan is to lay out all of our information we are going to talk about. Each person in the group is going to talk about their character and their day in the life as we all have different types of characters. Our plan is to use Audacity to record all our radio show. Audacity has been a great tool and I’ve started to like t more and more each time I use it. Creating the logo for the show was fun and interesting. Using design.com I messed around with numerous different color schemes, design layouts, etc… As far as weekly creates go my favorite would have to be todays daily create. I enjoyed creating a new design for a bicycle. I wanted to give my new design a futuristic look. Overall, this week was a lot of planning and prepping for next week. I am looking forward to next week. Until next time!
This week had a bit of a slow start for me. Let’s begin with the my Radio Show Progress. When you’re a hundred percent online, there are so many more ways miscommunication can occur. For me it occurred with being in touch with my group members. Through email, we were all in touch to be put in a group chat. Messages flew throughout the week with everyones numbers and someone mentioning creating a group chat but still I had no group chat. So I went on and did my assignments while I was waiting! I created a radio show poster and logo that can easily be edited with the final name of the show and more information on it as well!
Along with that I had my two audio assignments. The first one was creating an intro for the radio show, where I also came up with a name based off the description from the spreadsheet of radio shows. Next, I created my own assignment for the assignment bank where I made a radio show intermission. This one was one of my favorites I had done from this week.
Then, the silence in the email was getting questionable. So I reached out and then went ahead and created the group chat myself. Which is where moments later I found out that there was already a group chat and I was accidentally not placed in it. Although I was bummed to miss out on major discussions, things like this occur frequently and I’m aware there was no ill intention behind it! I did get caught up, but it was last minute and I had already completed my assignments on the radio show this week.
Now let’s move on to my Daily Creates, the three we had for this week.
The first was The Letter C, where I added on to some generated text and created (and solved) my own mystery of the witch and the hobbit. You can also find what I think the hobbit looks like on the post and my solved mystery as well!
The next one was Endangered Poetry, which I created with the help of ChatGPT. I added a background picture to match the theme and it turned out really well minus the minor inconvenience I had with copying and pasting the text.
Lastly, I created my own version of a bicycle with the help of who else? AI! It’s got two wheels, four seats, a solar panel, and a shade up top! With that being said, I will not advertise it any further since the safety is still not something I’m sure of.
Lastly, of course the comments. Mainly commented on people’s logos and posters as that was something I was looking forward to see!
Can’t wait to see everyone’s radio show projects next week, hope you all enjoyed my posts!
I feel good about this week, especially knowing that my group made decent progress on the project. With group work, it’s always a hit or miss if members will actually be responsive and contribute especially in an online class, but so far everyone seems to be pulling their weight.
Starting with the daily creates, you can find my responses here. The flower bead and futuristic bike prompts were pretty easy to complete but I had more difficulty with the hobbit and witch prompt. I think that I have a much easier time overall creating the visual prompts rather than the written ones. This is kind of interesting as the visual prompts often require a bit more work, but I barely suffer a mental block like I do for the written ones.
I had the most fun with the audio assignments. I liked drawing upon my real world experiences listening to podcasts and how the commercials, intros, and outros typically sound and applying it the world of my character and the ideas for our group project. I didn’t have any difficulty completing these. I created a commercial that promotes Isaiah Beacon Ministries and an outro where Isaiah plugs all of his content. You can find that assignment here.
I then created a bumper sticker for the podcast, as I figured most people listen to those in the car anyways. Again, no difficulties here. I did spend a bit of time messing around with wording on it as you want to make it as brief and straight to point as possible. I decided to make it more simple all around because I’d mostly want people to focus on the name of the podcast anyways. You can find that assignment here.
Finally, I wrote about the radio show progress, which was helpful for me to see what I have done and what still needs to be done. This assignment was fairly easy to complete as we had already shared a document so I could see what we’ve done in a list format. I also had the chats from Discord and texting, which helped. You can find that assignment here.
