Daily Chore

For today’s daily create I am going to talk about my least favorite chore to do. My least favorite chore is washing the dishes because it takes a long time. A game me and my brother play to help get over doing the dishes is we time each other to see who can clean them the fastest. Fastest time is the winner. Hope you enjoyed this short explanation of my least favorite chore and a game I play to help with it.

Changing one letter can change the whole outcome of the sentence. Especially when it comes to books, it can change everything. I could not think of a letter change that would drastically change a book. However, to twist the topic a tad, I decided to change a whole word to a book title. “Diary of an Awesome Kid”. This would make the readers of this book believe that the diary is for a kid that is awesome, not wimpy!

Household Chores and The Codfather

Week 10 Daily Creates

For my first one of this week, I had to change a letter in the title of a book or movie. I chose The Godfather and turned it into The Codfather. Now, it is a family-run seafood empire! Here is how I would redesign it:

The next daily create I did was to combine a game you like with a chore to make it somewhat more enjoyable.

The game I chose is Ludo. Ludo is a traditional game played in South Asian countries. Growing up in Pakistan, I always played this game and still do when I visit my cousins back home. It can get very competitive and loud, and lots of accusations of cheating. It is similar to the board game “Trouble”.

Now my least favorite chose is washing dishes. In many ethnic households, using the dishwasher to wash the dishes is very uncommon. We hand wash them individually and it actually satisfies us that they truly got cleaned! The reason I hate washing them is the dish soap dries out my hands completely and the scent stays on as well for a little while. Now you could wear gloves, but my issue with that is if your nails are even slightly too long, they will rip and the water will find its way in. Which to me is even more gross.

So I combined Ludo with this chore. Since Ludo is a game played by more than one player, we would be playing to see how many dishes each player would have to wash. In Ludo, you roll a six and are lucky, but in this you roll a six and wash six dishes! Similarly, you would still get to move six spots ahead. Therefore the basics of the game are the same but the number you roll also means the amount of dishes you must clean.

Daily Create – 3/29/2024

Today’s daily create had us pick our least favorite household chore and then associate a game to it that might help up be more productive while completing the chore. My least favorite household chore would probably have to be cleaning my room. In order to finish this chore, I think I would associate it with a game that revolves around trying to clean my room at the fastest rate possible and timing myself. i think by doing this it would help me move faster because I am against the clock and it would really help me work efficiently while also getting the main task at hand done. It would definitely help me to associate it with something like that.

Week 10 Daily Creates

Only two TDCs this week!

On Thursday, 3/28, the prompt was:

“Change a Letter, Ruin a Book – some ideas here

So, I opened FireAlpaca (my digital art program!) to patch together The Great Batbsy, a Batman adaptation of The Great Gatsby

This was fun to make!! I had to fiddle a little but I mostly just copied the B in Gatbsy and replaced the G with it, and then fixed the background. I allowed it to be a little messy, because I didn’t want to take a while on it, but it was fun. I also added little bat wings to the sides!

This was fun!! I liked it a lot. I have no idea what a Batman adaptation of The Great Gatsby would look like, and honestly, I’m afraid to see that.

On Friday, 3/29, the prompt was,

What is your least favourite household chore? What is a game you do, or might, pair with the chore to survive the daily grind? E.g. my least favourite chore is washing cutlery (yes, I might get a dishwasher someday), I pair this with a game of pickup sticks.

So, I thought for a while, because I couldn’t really think of anything. Usually, I just suffer through the chores and deal with it, but I did think of something! In my post, I said,

“Folding clothes is sometimes the most miserable thing to do ever . . . so sometimes I decide to see how small I can fold them!! which, I guess makes it take longer, but it makes it a little less miserable”

Which is true!! I do do this!! There’s not a lot to say about it, just that I fold them as teeny tiny as I can. And then unfold them because making them tiny doesn’t help me at all. And then refold them like a normal person.

And double my time doing it all, but at least I had a little fun

That’s it! Not much else to say!

Daily Create Roundup: Week 10

Here are my daily creates for this week!

This first one was an image I found for what I thought would be a cool concept for a bicycle. Though, now that I think back on it, this would be classified more as a flying car rather than a bike. All of the extra zero gravity would make it a hard sell for being just a bike.

The other one was a splatter art painting using this website. I played around with the number, splat size, and wobble to create a one of a kind design.

Ruin A Book

For today’s daily create I am ruining a book title by changing a single letter of the title. The book I am choosing to use is Moby Dick. Instead, the new title is Moby Sick. This new novel is about Captain Ahab’s adventure to discover why Moby is sick and what is causing his sickness. The captain goes through great lengths to study Moby’s behavior. The end of the novel is quite shocking, you don’t want to miss it.

Finish the prompt..

A witch smokes a cigarette in a city. She is thinking about the letter “C”. There is a hobbit standing right behind her… She is blind and is unable to sense the hobbit behind her.

I found this daily create interesting as I was able to be creative and finish the sentence with anything I wanted. Was anyone expecting the witch to be blind? I didn’t think so…
