Rebecca (of Rebecca’s Radiant Realm) and I are working together on our final project, which will be a choose-your-own-adventure game hosted on Twine. We’re incorperating tech-noir elements and focusing primarily on the prompt regarding a world controlled by AI. I had brought up the idea of a future where all countries’ ambassadors were some form of AI, and we built a script off of that. I plugged it in to a text-to-speech tool and downloaded an mp3 of the script. Then, using favorite place to get free sounds, freesounds.org, I added in some different sounds in order to get a layered background effect. I also used the same site to get sounds to create my glitch effect around the “year.” Once the audio was done, I sent it over to Rebecca so she could work on the video! Overall, I think everything turned out really nice, especially for just the trailer for this project. I’m a little nervous about the amount of writing involved in creating the game, but I’m really excited to start working on it!

Week 12
Daily Creates: (Only two this week I totally forgot about them )
Movie Trailer
Pretty simple week! Can’t wait to start recording our podcasts!!
Cyber Talks Trailer
Carson and I started this project with the idea of creating a podcast duo where we talk about different tech noir, cyberpunk, and AI topics. We’re covering things like film reviews, AI for good, and privacy. We used Canva to create the trailer together, and we plan on launching a subdomain where we’ll post the podcast as part of our brand.
It was a bit difficult to make a trailer for a podcast since it’s all conversation based, but overall the process was fun. I’m really excited to see how this turns out and where we can take it next.
The Ambassador: Choose-your-own-future
For the final project, Rylie and I are working on an interactive choose-you-own-future game surrounding the idea of an AI governed society.
Our trailer:
To make this trailer Rylie and I made a script that pitched the idea and premise of our game. Rylie had a text-to-speech (that we wanted to sound like Dr. O, but couldn’t clone him) read the script and edited it so that the pauses and flow of the voice sounded as natural and un-natural as we wanted it be. I worked on compiling a bunch of relevant stock video into iMovie and created a trailer and timed it with the finished script and uploaded it to youtube!
I think I would have liked to have more filters I could use but iMovie didn’t have a lot of options. I also had a hard time finding the exact videos I wanted for the trailer on the free stock video websites (that didn’t also had an obnoxious watermark) so I think I couldn’t have done more if I had the right time and materials.
TDC 4/7-4/11
Daily creates:
- For my first daily create of the week I used a secret name generator to create Agent Diamond Flame. She works hand and hand with my character Yohan and she was put on ice and froze for 100+ years. Once I generated her name I used a photo generator to create her character which I think turned out well and fits the theme of tech noir. I plan to incorporate this character at least once in my final, but if I’m unable to at least I can say I tried.
2. For my second daily create of the week we were assigned to create a poem from a dialogue we overheard. I heard my family member on the phone with their friend and they said the phrase “it’s always good to get out and walk”. I used this as the start of my poem and built around this phrase. I tried to do a rhyme scheme that skips a line then continues. I actually like the poem I made and believe it’s quite catchy and holds a good message as we approach warmer weather. I also created a cover to go with my poem on canva that’s in my favorite color which is green.
3. For my third daily create of the week we honored national pet day, so I posted my two babies. I wasn’t able to go see them today on the 11th due to my schedule and class, but I will go visit them tomorrow and be sure to give them extra love and treats since I wasn’t there today.
This Week I Got To Film With The Real HouseWives of Cyber Manhattan
I completed 3 Daily Creates. I got to post about puppies, water, and some dialog I overheard.
Below is the blog post that has the trailer to the short film I’m going to be in!
The Real HouseWives of Cyber Manhattan!!!
This piece was so fun to create with my fearless femme girls, well now they are my HouseWife friends from Cyber Manhattan. Each of them is so talented and creative. Martina and her wonderful planning and editing skills, Olivia and her creative Canva Intros and music vibes, Coni and her tech-savviness and gracious support, and Kristen with her bubbly personality and overall creativeness! The short film trailer was a success.

Enjoy your weekend everyone!
Trailer For The Real HouseWives of Cyber Manhattan
AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! This is so fricken cutee. I love making content like this with my fearless femme girls.
To record this trailer we had to…
- book a space to use the green screen room in the HCC and borrowed a camera from the HCC.
- Then film some content with each other and individually. We used inspirations from the real housewives shows and then tried to incorporate our characters into it and use the class themes of course.
- After recording, we downloaded the content to 2/3 computers. We learned from last time that it’s better to have the content saved a couple of times on different computers than to not have it or lose it.
Overall, recording was so much fun. It kind of felt awkward at first but Martina and Liv put on some Sabrina Carpenter, and we started vibing and it all started coming to life.
I have to give credit where credit is due! Martina is a wonderful editor and has helped us tremendously with the editing role for our films, along with her still being involved in all of the other tasks that are required to generate this type of content. She described the editing to us as, clipping the videos, adding the backdrop picture to the green screen, and then adding some music to it.
Also, Oliva created the intro part with Canva. I think it’s perfect for CyberPunk theme and goes really well with the rest of our material.
I can’t wait to finish this project up with them next week and create one huge final piece together.

My Creative Journey: Week 12
Summary
This week allowed me to be really creative and think outside the box for my trailer idea. I put a lot of time and effort into it so I enjoyed how it came out in the end. I still need to think of the full actual story for the final project, but for a sneak peak at the creation you can watch my trailer and the whole process behind it on my post called Coming Soon! I also did three Daily Creates this week which can be found on my post called Inside My Creative Mind.
