Daily Create – 3/29/2024

Today’s daily create had us pick our least favorite household chore and then associate a game to it that might help up be more productive while completing the chore. My least favorite household chore would probably have to be cleaning my room. In order to finish this chore, I think I would associate it with a game that revolves around trying to clean my room at the fastest rate possible and timing myself. i think by doing this it would help me move faster because I am against the clock and it would really help me work efficiently while also getting the main task at hand done. It would definitely help me to associate it with something like that.

Week 10 Daily Creates

Only two TDCs this week!

On Thursday, 3/28, the prompt was:

“Change a Letter, Ruin a Book – some ideas here

So, I opened FireAlpaca (my digital art program!) to patch together The Great Batbsy, a Batman adaptation of The Great Gatsby

This was fun to make!! I had to fiddle a little but I mostly just copied the B in Gatbsy and replaced the G with it, and then fixed the background. I allowed it to be a little messy, because I didn’t want to take a while on it, but it was fun. I also added little bat wings to the sides!

This was fun!! I liked it a lot. I have no idea what a Batman adaptation of The Great Gatsby would look like, and honestly, I’m afraid to see that.

On Friday, 3/29, the prompt was,

What is your least favourite household chore? What is a game you do, or might, pair with the chore to survive the daily grind? E.g. my least favourite chore is washing cutlery (yes, I might get a dishwasher someday), I pair this with a game of pickup sticks.

So, I thought for a while, because I couldn’t really think of anything. Usually, I just suffer through the chores and deal with it, but I did think of something! In my post, I said,

“Folding clothes is sometimes the most miserable thing to do ever . . . so sometimes I decide to see how small I can fold them!! which, I guess makes it take longer, but it makes it a little less miserable”

Which is true!! I do do this!! There’s not a lot to say about it, just that I fold them as teeny tiny as I can. And then unfold them because making them tiny doesn’t help me at all. And then refold them like a normal person.

And double my time doing it all, but at least I had a little fun

That’s it! Not much else to say!

Daily Create Roundup: Week 10

Here are my daily creates for this week!

This first one was an image I found for what I thought would be a cool concept for a bicycle. Though, now that I think back on it, this would be classified more as a flying car rather than a bike. All of the extra zero gravity would make it a hard sell for being just a bike.

The other one was a splatter art painting using this website. I played around with the number, splat size, and wobble to create a one of a kind design.

Ruin A Book

For today’s daily create I am ruining a book title by changing a single letter of the title. The book I am choosing to use is Moby Dick. Instead, the new title is Moby Sick. This new novel is about Captain Ahab’s adventure to discover why Moby is sick and what is causing his sickness. The captain goes through great lengths to study Moby’s behavior. The end of the novel is quite shocking, you don’t want to miss it.

Daily Create 3/22/24

Finish the prompt..

A witch smokes a cigarette in a city. She is thinking about the letter “C”. There is a hobbit standing right behind her… She is blind and is unable to sense the hobbit behind her.

I found this daily create interesting as I was able to be creative and finish the sentence with anything I wanted. Was anyone expecting the witch to be blind? I didn’t think so…

Daily Create – 3/24/2024

Today’s daily create was to create a splatter art work using a splatter art website. The picture you see below is what I came up with and I think it turned out pretty good because I was just messing with the colors, size, wobble, and the number of dots and finding something that looked cool and interesting. I chose the big spots because I felt like the small dots left the canvas a little bare and it could have used some more color so I used bigger dots.
