Daily Create 2/27/24

The postage stamp has been around since the 1800’s. After doing some research, a postage stamp can basically be anything. The only usage for postage stamps are as payment for mailing out items. Postage stamps are a major way that post offices make money. I made my postage stamp unique. This is former professional baseball player and hall of fame Declan Forrer.

For today’s daily create, you needed to create a postage stamp for DS106 and this is what I came up with. It includes all of the different parts such as a camera for video, microphone for audio, and all of the other aspects of the field. I am really happy with my output and of course, since it was AI-generated the text might not be perfect, but for the future, it looks really nice.

For today’s daily create we had to describe which castle on the hill we would like to visit and and to describe out visit. I would like to visit Frankenstein’s castle because of the spooky, ominous atmosphere that it would bring. I walked in and the entire castle was dimly lit and it seemed like every door had something new to offer inside. I was definitely spooked but also intrigued to see what I would find. I enjoyed the ominous theme and thought it added to the discovery of the castle and was eager to find out more. Eventually, I made it to the lab room, where I saw a figure lay on the table and immediately knew that this was Frankenstein.

This daily create required us to take the open mouth of a statue and remix it and so I decided to do something a little bit more creative. I drew inspiration from the Iron Man movie, where at the end of the movie, is is sitting by himself in his suit inside of a huge donut sign eating a donut and so i had an Ai-chatbot generate me an image of a superhero sitting inside the mouth of a statue eating a donut. Although the statue was not the same, the idea behind the picture and requirements for the daily create were still met, in my opinion.

Adding Captions & Music

For this week we had two daily creates.

For the first one I picked to do, we had to add some parade music to the following photo:

To me this picture gave off eerie vibes with the black and white and they way the men are dressed and standing. When the word eerie came to my mind, I instantly thought of this cartoon I used to watch known as Courage the Cowardly Dog. I chose the theme song since it give me an old-timey parade vibe with the instruments used. (Obviously haven’t attended one but this was my best interpretation of one!)

Here is the song:

For my next daily create, I had to think of what the Canadian Prime Minister was agreeing to do with Asimo the Robot.

Here is what I thought of and created:

Prime Minister Trudeau just agreed for Asimo the Robot to replace Dr.Oblivion!

I really hope Dr.Oblivion does not find out about this one!!

Daily Create Roundup: Week 6

Here are my daily creates for Week 6!

The first one is a poem about how nature was a teacher to me, and I wrote a poem about my experiences playing golf.

When the wind blows upon the little white ball,
one must go with the push rather than pull

One of the lessons I learned while playing this sport was that mother nature won’t adhere to our wishes and do whatever she pleases. It is the player’s responsibility to account for natural occurrences such as a wind, and play along with the elements rather than fight against it.

The next one is a quick photo edit over an old photo with a man listening to something.

I tried to overlay music notes I found on Google, but I had a hard time overlaying without the pictures hiding behind the background. A bit low effort, but this is all I could come up with in 10-15 minutes. And I think that’s fine. I’m coming to realize that it’s more about attempting the process with these daily creates, rather than striving for perfection.

Daily Create 2/20/24

What is this man doing you may wonder? Is he happy? Why does he have headphones on? I am imagining he is a song producer from back in the day. In 1919, this man is producing his top hit “Nerf George Paul.” He seems happy that he found the right beat to back up his song perfectly.
