For today’s daily create I had to create art using the Zazow Mandelbrot Fractal art tool. I probably spent 10 minutes just messing around with the image. Zooming in and out of different sections of the image. This is what I have created. Hope you enjoy.

My Crooning Oscillator
For this daily create I created a crooning oscillator. At first, I was unsure what he was saying but, after thinking about what he had to say I think he was happy. He was expressing his joy and how happy is to be alive. Take a listen for yourself and let me know what you think. Hope you enjoy!
TDC Not Today Warp
This week we had to do 3 daily crates and they were quick and easy. For the first one we had to do post a picture that represents purity. I went away from the standard light colors and calming vibes to my first thought which was a purity seal from Warhammer 40k. I am going to need that chaos protection if I want to stay pure from the warp. Post below.
For the next one we had to make a net art picture. I do think these things are art because it still takes a small amount of creativity to come up with a prompt that’s good. Some of my first tests were with terms like “toxic” and it only came up with toxic masculinity posts that degraded women and I am not about that ugh. So, it was an experiment to get something cool. I gave it the prompt bioweapon and it came out awesome. Here was my post.
For the last on we got to have fun with oscillators. The sounds were interesting, and I had a fw thoughts on what i thought they sounded like. Here is the post.
It was cool this week, probably going to do that net art thing a few more times.
Week 7 Daily Creates
Here is my list of Daily Creates from this week!
Wednesday, 2/28’s Daily Create asked,
“Share a picture, or photo, that conveys something pure. This could be a person, an object, or a moment.“
So I answered with the very obvious answer of my cat!
Her name is Cat, I’m pretty sure I’ve talked about her. She’s the purest thing I can think of, an actual blessing from above. Looking at her just makes me so happy. She’s my baby (she’s 12)!
Thursday, 2/29’s Daily Create said,
“Generate your own Net Art based on a keyword search. But is it art? Share it out anyway …. and tell us what your keyword search term was. We’re a curious tribe.”
So, I did just that! I decided to put in the prompt “cat running for president” because I had a sudden visual in my head of a cat behind the presidental pedestal with a paw in the air greeting the audience, or saying something really powerful. Here’s what Net Art gave me.
It’s really just an amalgamation of images (I believe 8 different images) answering the prompt. It definitely didn’t give me what I imagined it to, but I didn’t ask for that specifically. Despite it, I think it’s very cool! I would not be voting for this cat, though . . . something about those eyes . . .
Friday, 3/1’s Daily Create was,
“The Chrome Music Lab lets users experiment with different oscillators (square, sawtooth, triangle, and sine). Play around with the different oscillators by dragging your finger/mouse up and down each oscillator to change the its frequency. What are they saying or singing? Tell us, show us, or perhaps record a conversation/duet with your favorite oscillator.“
This one was a lot of fun with, and each time I played with the little guys, it seemed like they were so excited. So I decided to answer with that, just explaining what they were doing in my post.
I decided these little guys were singing the song of their people, and if you see how excited they are, it’s because they never get the chance to sing this for new people! They’re eager for people to hear their song and know it! I mean, if I only had limited chances to sing my song to others, I’d be excited to sing it whenever possible!
Overall, very fun Daily Creates this week. I didn’t get a whole bunch of thoughts into them, but it did open my eyes and wake me up a little, getting me ready for the work I was going to do.
NAGging feeling
Today’s Daily Create asked us to play with the Net.Art Generator. Maybe I should have read the home page, but instead I clicked the Create button as soon as I found it. Moments earlier I had been thinking about AI-generated images and art and Van Gogh’s Starry Night, so that’s what I put in. The output was somewhat interesting to me, reminiscent of Jasper Johns and some of my own adventures in rectangularity. But not good enough. So I tried Starry Knight, just to see what might happen. The text stencilled on the image also reminds me of Johns, but I was able to find the source. To take it one step beyond, and in keeping with the AI theme, I tried Starry Knightrider. I couldn’t decide which to use, so why not all of them?
Now I’m wondering what I might be able to do with KITT and HAL-9000. Apparently MadamBlackWolf thought of this already.
Pure
For this daily create I had to upload a photo of something pure. My initial thought was something nature themed. I used fotor.com to generate this image of a river and mountain range. I think this picture is as pure as it gets. Hope you like the picture!
Postage Stamp
For this daily create I was tasked with creating a postage stamp using Photofunia. I decided to use my created AI character Leo Storm as my stamp image. I chose this image because we have been using our created characters for DS106 quite a bit and I felt it was a good fit for the stamp.
Daily create 2/26/2024
TDC x 2 W6
These were my two TDC assignments this week and here are my posts.
The first one was “What prompted this man’s facial expression“. Below was my initial reaction.
The Next one as called “Parade Music For Chief Kenlon Driving the DS106 Creation Engine“. Below was my post about it. I also added the video so you can watch it here.
Super fun stuff this week. Can’t wait to see what is next.
JAWS But Backwards
For this daily create I was tasked with taking a movie title and flipping it and putting it on an object. I decided to do JAWS on a surfboard. I chose JAWS because it was a simple title that could be reversed. I chose the surfboard to go along the theme of JAWS.
