Radio Show Intermission

For my second audio assignment, I decided to create my own! I called it the Radio Show Intermission and here is the description I put for it: “Radio Show Intermission” is a lively and engaging break in your listening experience to offer a refreshing pause between discussions. Add a short line of text to captivate your audience and ensure that they stay past the break. Add some sound as well and make it to your liking with whatever theme best suits your show.

The process for creating an assignment was pretty easy! I added my SoundCloud link to what I created and included the following as the thumbnail image:

I choose this image because the sound just gave me this type of vibe plus it incorporates my character and I’s love for cats!

Now here is how I would do a radio show intermission:

To start it off I chose a simple yet intriguing sound from Pixabay, this is the part that made me chose a cat being a dj for the thumbnail picture.

Next I have the following text in my sound: Take a breather (In German) Take a breather and enjoy the groove during our Radio Show Intermission, where the beats keep you company until we return with more awesome tunes and engaging conversations! (English) I used “take a breather” twice in there to emphasize the purpose of this intermission which is to take a quick break. The first time it’s said, is in the language German. My character Chuckles, is from Switzerland, where a majority speak German, so I added that touch for him. By using an AI text-to-speech generator, I generated the rest of the text via English.

Finally, I have the incorporation of my second and last sound which is also from Pixabay. For this I know I wanted something with a beat drop near the end since my text mentions that you should enjoy this beat during the quick break. Additionally, I needed a sound where I could easily transition from the first one without having an awkward pause in between. The exact spot where I made the song change was at the word “groove” and I think it turned out really well!

I really hope all listeners enjoy this intermission I created as I really love it!

Film Fanatics & Fictional Friends

For my first audio assignment this week, I choose the Radio Bumper and put my own twist on it according to my radio show description.

My first step for this was creating a possible radio show name.

The description we have for my group is: Course character talk about pop culture/movies/tv in a talkshow/podcast type of vibe

I came up with name: Film Fanatics & Fictional Friends

The fictional friends in this case are all of our characters.

I wanted the audio in the sound to be neat, so I utilized a voice generator instead of me talking. Next, I used Pixabay for my intro and background music. The audio I used is called Big Band Show. I picked this one because it resembled almost an old time-y tv show intro and gave off fun vibes overall.

Here is my version of what could be the intro to my groups radio show!

In the beginning, the sound is very loud and out there. Then, the music turns into background sound as the actual intro is played. Finally, it picks back up and finishes out strong in hopes to get the listener enticed to what our characters have to say.

Were you all enticed?!

Four Seater Bicycle

This Daily Create is brought to you by imagination and AI! I had to redesign a bicycle with a modern feature while keeping it nature friendly of course.

For my post, I used Craiyon, an AI image generator. I gave it the following prompt: solar electric bike for four people.

It gave me the following image:

I chose to do a classic two wheel bike, except this one can SEAT FOUR people! Additionally, it uses a solar panel to operate. I think this would be great to have especially because it includes a sun shade as well. Don’t know about the safety on this but thank you Craiyon for creating this unique bicycle for not only me but some friends as well!

The Letter C

For my first Daily Create of the week, I had a bit of a weird one.

We were provided a prompt from @MagicRealismBot and had to figure out what happens next.

The provided prompt was:

A witch smokes a cigarette in a city. She is thinking about the letter “C”. There is a hobbit standing right behind her.

I continued it with the following on Mastodon:

The hobbit has a mischievous grin as he tilts his head and asks, “What secrets lie within the letter C?”

The witch becomes intrigued of his similar sense of curiosity and smiles down at the hobbit.

Later they are both spotted walking down a dark, mysterious path heading to explore the mysteries of the letter C.

My thought process for this was to keep it mysterious since the prompt itself was too. I also wanted to make the two characters amiable and adventurous. Therefore, I had the witch smile at the hobbit and they were both seen heading to explore the mysteries together.

Here’s an image on what I think the hobbit would look like:

Now what do I think is behind the letter C? Coffee of course. Both the characters are now on the way to explore the best cafe and what it has to offer.

Endangered Poetry

For my second Daily Create, I chose to have ChatGPT help me out with it since our class theme is AI.

I gave ChatGPT the following prompt: make up some really cool short poem and write it in some cool format

It generated the following:

Now here’s where I had some trouble. On my Mastodon post, I was able to paste what I had copied from ChatGPT with no problems. The format and spacing were all the same. Now when I pasted this onto here, it did not keep the same format or space so I had to manually add all the spaces. Additionally, Mastodon has a text limit so I was unable to include the entire poem on there. However, I included the entire poem on here!

I added a really cool background picture that I got from Pinterest to add some more creativity to it. It made it so much better in my opinion. The picture helps incorporate the stars and darkness as discussed in the poem and really ties it all together!

Week 8 Wrapped Up

I appreciate how this week had a slow start, it was much needed after spring break.

Starting off this week, I was having trouble finding a group for the radio shows. I had my name under the “looking for a group” but still had no luck. I then saw and read the description of the group created by Latifah, who then I contacted via email to join since it sparked my interest!

Moving forward, I started with my first daily create, When Two Worlds Collide. If it wasn’t for these daily creates, I would’ve never known about these art tools. I love playing around with the tools and having my own interpretation of the art.

My next daily create was my addiction – Always Caffeinated. Here I also shared how I am fasting this month and how I’m working around my coffee addiction. Additionally, the delicious latte I was served while being 40,000 feet in the air!

Next, was the assignment of the week, AI Sales Pitch. Where I explored an AI tool, AI Room Planner. Here I discussed the functionality of the overall tool and why Aggressive Technologies should acquire this tool. It’s a really fun and interactive website that offers various styles you can configure your room to be and find some inspiration. However, the tool does require a few tweaks for it to function more accurately.

Lastly, the third and final daily create of the week which was the Ferrari At The House. I could talk about cars all day long! I chose a Ferrari since it’s my favorite F1 team!

Hope you all had a great week, can’t wait to get started on the radio shows!

Ferrari At The House

Daily Create – Old & New

If I haven’t previously expressed my interest in cars, this post should do it! When I saw TDC post on Mastodon, I instantly wanted to put a new car in front of an old house. So I went straight to Canva to start creating! I found an image of an old house and a driveway from Google and pasted those both on Canva. Last but most certainly not least, the Ferrari 812 GTS, a luxury sports car with a horsepower of 788.

Here is my creation of old and new:

The house image was perfect since it had a person walking out of the house. Making it seem like the man is trying to enter his brand new car. Who knows, maybe he lives two different lives or just likes to keep his house the way it is!

Here is my post on Mastodon.

AI Sales Pitch

For this assignment, I knew that I had wanted to utilize AI to play around with interior design/architecture considering that my character is an architect. Additionally, I absolutely love interior design.

The tool that I used is AI Room Planner. Basically, you feed it an image, select the type of room it is, and the style you want out of it. I chose images from the internet to further investigate this tool since I did not want to give this website my personal house details.

To start the review off, the tool is very simple and easy to utilize. It lets you pick from 25 room styles. From office spaces to your attic, you can recreate almost any room with this tool. Moving on, there are a total of 32 styles you can choose from. You can turn your room into a gaming room, zen room, vintage vibes, industrial, and much more. The first image I did my research on was of a living room, the original image can be found here. I chose the industrial style for this. I tried a total of 6 styles before choosing this one. The previous ones made little to no changes at all. Here is the rendered image in the style industrial:

The next image, I focused on was a kitchen. For this style, I chose cottage core, here is the rendered image:

Once again, not many changes were made with most of the style choices except for cottage core. The other styles kept everything the same, but just polished it a bit. Whereas, for this style, I can see the tool trying it’s best. For example, it changed the roof structure to be angled, changed the scenery outside the window, and added flowers in the kitchen to tie in the theme of a cottage.

Now the big question – Should Aggressive Technologies acquire this tool?

I think they should absolutely acquire it. Nothing comes perfect, you will always have to make a few changes to get your desired product. The best thing about this tool is how quick it performs. Within approximately 15 seconds, you have your result. Not only that but this tool offers multiple selections of styles and rooms to choose from. You can even view your selected image how it would look on certain holidays and see if it would be the right fit for you! Not all styles come out perfectly, but this tool does comprehend the overall style idea and formulate the result accordingly.

Always Caffeinated

Daily Create – My Addiction

This next Daily Create was something that I am addicted to and cannot go without. Of course, the answer to this is coffee. Both my character and I are quite fond of it.

There’s something about a latte that just creates the perfect morning for me, I cannot go without it. Also, the double shots of espresso definitely help me get through my day.

Whether I’m 40,000 feet in the air or headed to class, I need my latte.

Here’s a picture I took of my latte and dessert while on a flight.
And this really pretty latte from NYC. Although it was scrumptious it was $9….

If I were to share the pictures of my addiction, this would be an endless post. One thing I wanted to add on this post was my current coffee situation. This month is Ramadan, which is a sacred month in Islam where Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset! Meaning I cannot indulge in my morning lattes. I do still make my lattes once I break my fast, but I just have to be careful because it does keep me up for most of the night!

Here’s my post on Mastodon!

When Two Worlds Collide

Daily Create – Fractalized Art

The Zazow art tool has various tools you can play around with to create quite an interesting piece of art. I liked how you could zoom in and out of it and the details would just further expand. It was never boring.

I wanted something with contrast/clear difference of a border within the art. You can see how the left side is very subtle, whereas the right side is the exact opposite. Which is why I chose to name it “When Two Worlds Collide”. I also added the Pearl Coloring Effect which can be seen in the pear shaped structure. I chose this effect since it adds almost like a different “texture”. It’s whimsical, bright, and eye-catching effect makes it stand out from the rest of the art.

I was also playing around with zooming in and out of it and here’s another angle that I really liked.

I zoomed in and changed the color scheme for this one. To me it looks like a diamond that was just found covered in mud and water. The angle makes it appear as if it’s a diamond and then the muddy orange and blue hues represent mud and water.

Who dropped their diamond in the mud??!

You can view my art here!
