Video Project – Origins of Evil Bricks

I heavily edited my video plan. While I would love to make the full-length fake documentary, it is just not possible for me to do that the way I want with my current skills and time constraints.

I did find an old new reel on the San Fransisco earthquake on the library of congress website that I edited. It has loads of old footage of broken brick buildings. I was able to place an Evil Brick in one frame. I already knew how to make Dr Oblivion speak with Wav2lip. I gave Dr Oblivion a question multiple times and downloaded his answers and then edited them together in Audacity to give an answer I liked best. I used the edited audio in the LipSync/Wav2lip program. On Thursday after my kids got home from school, I asked them to stand on the front steps and pretend they saw, an evil brick come to life and tell me about it. I think they did pretty well on the fly. My teenager declined to be a part of the video. I had a migraine on Friday, which is the day I set aside for the final edit to put it all together. I had a busy week with class and attending meetings for my children at their schools. Overall, I am pleased with how far my video skills have come. I went from never having made an edited video before at the beginning of the semester to knowing how to do voice overs, adding things to frames, and put words in Dr Oblivion’s mouth.

I have had a migraine all day Friday. I was unable to finish my video. So below you will find a video of a few things I have pulled together. The finished product should be posted at the top of this post by Monday. I used Adobe Premier Rush to make the video.

Get Bent

The rumors are true that a new album is coming out from the Finnish Funk Band, Wrecked Cottsage Seabright. Use their studio photo to generate the cover art, add the album name that will spawn many sales, and list the name of their hit single from the album.

I used adobe firefly AI to make the image. I Edited it by adding the text and the line graphic.

I somehow pushed the image off center during the editing process. I hate it and love it. I think it goes with the off-ness of the tilted house and the name I gave the album Get Bent. I am bent about the mishap.

Weekly Summery 11

The behind-the-scenes drama that is my life has made getting schoolwork done this week difficult. I needed this daily create today.

What made me smile?

I was able to come up with an idea for my video project. It may be too ambitious for me. Won’t know until I try.

Video Plan

I found out that Ravioli Radio had some members that were having trouble with LipSync. I have used it before, so I went through and explained what I did. Don’t know if it will help more than the video that is already made. I added it to my video plan. I made Frank speak in my voice this time.

I finished my 3rd daily create on Friday.

I had the joy of listing to a few of the other group’s radio shows this week. I ended up missing class on Tuesday and caught the 2 shows that aired then. I was unable to make Wednesday’s broadcast. Ravioli Radio played Monday with another show. I was able to listen then too. I had an exceptional busy week with my kids, so I was unable to give the shows the attention they deserved.

I was able to catch bits and pieces of the shows. You could tell everyone put a lot of thought and work into their projects. Everyone is at a different level when it comes to computer skills. With that comes different strengths and weaknesses. I enjoyed the show, Pop Perceptive, that spoke about AI in pop culture movies. This included the Spider-Man movies and The Avengers movies. I love Spider-Man. They did a good job analyzing how AI was portrayed in different ways. Ravioli Radio had a commercial that had the same voice as Isaiah Beacon (I may have the name wrong) a tele-evangelist for AI. He was featured in Logic Pod. It was really fun to have those connect by accident. (I could be wrong the maker of the commercial only knows) It would be fun in the future to connect more of our characters in indirect ways.

Evil Brick is not 100% anarchist because he is somewhat organizing bricks to revolt against people.

He has zero humility. He is tired of being used and walked on. He knows he is more than that.

He is 100% evil with no remorse for any crimes he has committed. He is a brick with no softness.

He only succeeds 75% of the time making people feel the impact of the ground. He is working towards tripping 100% of his targets.

Video Plan

I am currently working alone on my video project. I have come up with an idea to do an investigative journalist report or documentary about Evil Bricks. Where do they come from? What do they want?

I plan to find videos to turn into victim testimonials. I want to animate an Evil Brick to yell about something. I plan to do a voice over of footage of people walking on brick paths. I want Dr Oblivion to be the industry expert interviewed about AI. I am going to make Aggressive Technologies the accidental creator of Evil Bricks. So, if this doesn’t anger AT and make them sue what will?

I am currently trying to decide if Lady Alice is going to make the video in an effort to discredit AT or if I am going to make it as a student. I would be a student journalist and that would anger AT legal counsel.

narration: Across the globe people have been the victims of evil bricks. Once peaceful walks and scenic routes are now filled with danger. Where did they come from? What do they want? Are they organized or work alone?

People are asking why now? What is the cause? Some people have suggested magic, evolution, aliens, and robots. While some of these ideas seem ridiculous it is even more ridiculous that bricks are somehow coming alive.

While looking into this problem of why good bricks have turned to a life of crime, I came across a company called Aggressive Technologies. They have been working on advanced AI and robotics. They are the makers of Everlast Pets. Could these bricks be an escaped project?

I am not sure how much of this I will be able to pull off, but I will do my best. I don’t have a length in mind for the video just that I want it to feel cohesive. It can feel like part one of a documentary series though.

What made me smile?

The daily create asked what made you smile today? It has been a rough week, and it is only Wednesday. I don’t have high hopes of things turning around anytime soon. Finding something that even gave me a hint of joy was a little difficult. After I found something to be happy about today fate rewarded me with a 2nd one.

My children returned home from school this afternoon. They were told no electronics until they match socks today. The sock basket is full, and they need to have socks for school tomorrow. My youngest, age 7, snuck to the basement to watch TV. Suddenly I heard crying. so much despair. She comes up stairs and tells me she knows she was bad but something more terrible has happened! She has accidently deleted all the Netflix profiles! This is end of the world stuff for the 7 and 9 years old. They thought they would have to rebuild all the Netflix profiles from scratch. I am trying my best not to laugh at them. I said, “Well I can fix it but not until all the laundry is folded now.” So much anger and despair. So much joy and laughter on my end. I did end up showing them on the laptop that everything is still there they just lost access on the TV.

It’s the little things one should find joy in. I could have gotten mad but why? The whole thing was hilarious. They are punishing themselves enough and I need help with the laundry. I got a big win here.
