Radio Show Progress

As the week continues me and my group are making good progress on our radio show. We have some radio bumpers made as well as different intros made, so we can pick and choose which one we like the best for our radio show. We haven’t recorded anything yet, but our plan is to lay out all of our information we are going to talk about. Each person in the group is going to talk about their character and their day in the life as we all have different types of characters. Our plan is to use Audacity to record all our radio show and incorporate radio bumpers, an introduction, and potential incorporate ads throughout the show. We haven’t run into too much trouble yet, knock on wood. However, if we do, I am confident our group can figure out a solution to any issues that arise. I am excited to see how this radio show comes out. This is my first time creating one and I’m a little nervous but also very excited. Stay tuned for our finished product.

Three-Point Chatter Introduction

This our introduction to our radio show. Creating this was simple. My first step was to find background music on Pixabay.com. Next using elevenlabs.io, an AI text to speech, I wrote my script for the introduction. Once both were complete, I downloaded both and uploaded them to Audacity and meshed them together. Here are the results. hope you enjoy!

Three-Point Chatter Radio Bumper

This is our radio bumper for our radio show. The process of creating this was simple. My first step was to find background music using pixabay.com. Next, I used elevenlabs.io, an AI text to speech, to write the script for the bumper. after both were complete, I downloaded both and uploaded to Audacity and meshed the two together. This is the final product, hope you enjoy!

Endangered Language Poetry

For today’s daily create I am showing an endangered language poem. The poem I have chosen is Lumic Lament. I chose this poem because it is it really goes into depth about the resilience of endangered languages and the efforts to preserve them against the passage of time. Hope you enjoy!

Lumic Lament

In the whispers of the ancient trees, Where shadows dance in silent breeze, Lumic tongues once sang with glee, Now fade into eternity.

Upon the hills, where echoes weep, And memories in darkness sleep, Our words, like petals, fall and wilt, As time’s cruel hand our voices stilt.

With each passing day, a verse is lost, A treasure buried ‘neath frost, Our heritage, a fragile flame, Flickers faint, forgotten name.

Yet in the heart of the night, When stars ignite their guiding light, We raise our voices, soft and low, To reclaim the words we used to know.

For though the world may turn away, And silence veils the light of day, In the depths of our souls, the language thrives, A beacon of hope, where memory survives.

So let us weave our stories bold, In Lumic tales, both young and old, And with each word, let defiance rise, Against the fate that silence tries.

For in our language, we find our truth, Our bond to ancestors, ageless youth, And though the path ahead may seem unclear, Our voices echo, strong and near.

In the whispers of the ancient trees, Our Lumic song shall forever seize, A testament to resilience, strong and true, In the heart of every word we renew.

Adios Week 8

Looking back at this week it was definitely a short one. I felt like I was able to complete my work in a timely manner. The three daily creates I did for the week were fun and interesting in my opinion. My favorite would have to be the one about something we can’t go a day without. I felt like everyone could relate to this daily create. I said my addiction was coffee. I always have a cup in the morning, as it helps me get through the day. I feel a good amount of people definitely could relate to a coffee addiction as it is essential for me and others. For my AI proposal to Aggressive Technologies, I chose to go with Gemini. Gemini is a text AI by google that provides a large amount of publicly available data and can communicate and generate human-like text in response to a wide range of questions. I chose to use Gemini because I have used this AI in the past and it is easy and simple to use, so I thought it would be a perfect fit for Aggressive Technologies. For my radio show I am working with Jackson Beale and Andrew Johnson. Our show’s objective is to talk about the day in the life of our AI created characters for DS106. I am excited to work with them to give an inside scoop of our three different types of characters. I’m eager to get a start on our show and look forward to the results. Overall, this week was short but intriguing. I’m looking forward to week 9. Until next Time!

Old But New?

For today’s daily create I have taken an old painting and put a modern twist to it. The painting I chose is The Starry Night by Van Gogh. I chose this because it is one of my favorite paintings and it’s a well-known classic. I used an AI photo generator by the name of perchance.org. I gave the generator the prompt of “generate a modern style of The Starry Night by Van Gogh”. This is what the generator was able to produce. Hope you enjoy.

What’s my Addiction

For today’s daily create I am talking about something I can’t go a day without. With out being said my addiction is coffee. I have a cup every morning. I feel like I can’t function throughout the day without my coffee in the morning. It wakes me up in the working and it keeps me going throughout the day. I prefer cold brew, but I don’t mind a hot coffee especially on colder days.
