For this assignment I had to create a bumper for Ravioli Radio Show. Once again I used the Elevenlabs.io and artlist.io this bumper includes a little overview of our radio show, with special guest starts from our very own class! Im so excited for this project to come together
This week was the calm before the storm. We had to decide on a solid concept for our radio show and form our groups. We also had to add to our class’s AI tool laboratory and make a sales pitch a product that Aggressive Tech would either buy or put out of business. You can find that post here.

I definitely wouldn’t be able to go a day without reading for fun. Even though it’s required for me to read as I go about my day, I definitely have to set aside time to read something I actually enjoy daily. From fiction novels to textbooks examining niche concepts, anything that excites my brain with new things.
Day 3: #tdc4445 Old & New
Newton doesn’t know what he would do without his espresso machine from Williams Sonoma. It grinds and steams his coffee grounds for him and leaves no mess behind so that he can spend more time doing random experiments.
For this assignment we had to create a little radio bumper, intro, outro or commercial for my first one I picked the radio outro, for our ravioli radio show, it was easy and quick to do. I used Elevenlabs.io for Dolly to voice over it and artlist.io for the background song. Overall it was pretty fun and easy to make.
In a big company like Aggressive Technologies, communication is important. From employees and bosses talking to the company speaking to the public, it has to be done efficiently and properly. This week one of our assignments was to create something to design something to promote are radio shows. Since Layla is a manga artist I wanted the art style in the poster to have aspects of anime art style with hints of old school anime elements. The radio show is focused on talking about pop culture pertaining to movies, books, and tv shows in a podcast talking style so I designed the poster in Canva. There is an AI generating tool that I was able to use to specify the art design and overall concept I wanted the show to have and from there I used another design features that Canva offers. The vibe of this podcast is to create a relaxing experience for the listeners while our course characters talk about fun and engaging content. I hope you enjoy what I was able to come up with all inspired by Layla of course and the upcoming radio show “Pop Perception.”

Today, I worked on a radio bumper for our radio show!
This might be the first time I’ve ever heard Dr. Oblivion sound a little enthusiastic! (I put the same prompt in over and over until he didn’t sound dead inside)
I use the CC Search and looked up “futuristic,” originally for inspiration, but then I found this which linked me to a Freesound audio that I ended up liking enough to use! It’s the only music I used, and I only really fiddled with fading in and fading out at the start, start of Oblivion’s message, end of Oblivion’s message, and the end of the bumper.
The only other thing I did was talk to Dr. Oblivion and convince him to give me a radio bumper and end it with the familiar phrase “ds106 for life!” This took a while, because sometimes he told me he couldn’t do it, other times he would, and other times he’d just spit out something that wasn’t quite what I wanted. I ended up using two different responses he had, both where I had to tweak a little to get the sort of message or tone that I wanted.
I put everything together in Audacity. It was pretty simple, but I wish I could get rid of the slight background noise for Dr. Oblivion. I also wish I could just make him speak with a little emotion . . . but I know, he’s literally an AI, of course he’s not gonna be full of emotion.
Not sure what else to add for this, but it’s what I’ve made!
Making a radio bumper is the second audio assignment I choose to complete this week in anticipation of the radio show the following week. It is crucial to have radio bumpers, as I discovered while listening to DS106 radio. I believe that in order to seamlessly transition back into the broadcast after the commercials, my group mates and I intend to incorporate our bumpers. Audacity was how I made my bumper. I’ve decided to start my audio assignments by making a commercial to air on my radio show the following week. It’s a commercial for these purposes, but it almost feels more like an advertisement. I made the decision to choose a clothing brand at random, and since I had previously seen ads for Rhoback, I chose them. I made this commercial with Audacity. Check out the advertisement below to learn more about the Rhoback! It will also be featured in the radio show that premieres the following week!
Here’s a picture of the poster I made for our audio show. Since I’m not the best at design, I relied on AI to help me make the poster. The three course characters that make my group are depicted in the poster. This poster’s style makes me think of celebrity athletes who band together, join the same team, and pose for their first group photo. As you can see, I tried to go for a future aesthetic with the three course characters on my poster. I chose to utilize a poster without text because I didn’t like how AI photos displayed text in the past. till, I acknowledge that it would have been helpful to include the show’s name.
