For the second audio assignment, I decided to go with a commercial that supports Laylas point about standing with local artist. She doesn’t want to promote anything negative about Aggressive Technlogies because she does appreciate the levels of advancement they have done in the technological space, but she wants everyone to take a step back and appreciate art and artist for what it is so here is my short audio commercial with an AI voiceover.

This week had a lot of assignments and most of them were dependent on others. My group got off to a pretty good start in email and moved to a text group. There we solidified a name for the podcast and also what we are going to be talking about. We decided that we would all do radio bumpers and that we would share them with the group so we could pick three for the show! We also decided that we would be doing movies and how Ai is perceived in movies.
There were a lot of great ideas and I really like how Latifah took initiative this week! It was really helpful and took some stress off of the project which seems like a lot of work. She gave great outlines of what we needed to get done (according to the weekly assignment post) and what she thought would help us get there. All of us participated in the conversation, even though we accidentally typed Jacobs number in wrong, so he was a couple hours behind. Even though that happened he jumped in seamlessly. This helped me get my work done on time and early, so that i can have less stress while I’m working this week with exams and projects coming up for other classes. This group project is probably going smoother than any other group project that I have been in. I also think that it is funny that two of the course characters share the same name and it happens to be my name spelled differently. Overall, I feel like we are making great progress and we will likely have more done by Friday. I am really excited to see what we come up with as a group.
Behind the creation: This week we came up with a name and solidified what we are doing for the project but nothing else about the podcast itself yet. Instead of putting everyone’s names because two of the characters have the same name, I opted to say diverse panel. I found this template on canva for free and edited it to my liking. I found out that it is hard to find a font that pops against certain backgrounds. I feel like this is a great promotion for the radio show!

I did a twist on the commercial assignment suggestion and made mine of a current AI product, instead of an 80’s product. The Ray Ban Meta Smart Glasses are awesome! The lenses come in some color options, so that you can have sunglasses, clear or green lenses to wear inside. My character would order the sunglasses. She will be talking with Dr. Ravioli and wearing sunglasses on the moped.
To create the commercial, I did a voice from text at www.elevenlabs.com and downloaded the mp3. In Premiere Pro, I imported that file and a free clip form www.freesounds.com titled Echoes. In Soundcloud, I uploaded the mp3 commercial and added image from www.freepik.com.
I began this week by working with my group to plan and get ready for the radio show that will air the following week. Details of our work are available at Radio Show Progress. Essentially, we have already finished the script, bumpers, advertisements, and logo designs; all we need to do is assemble the finished product next week. I’m eager to see how everything works out the following week and hope that everything goes smoothly. I then started working on the blog and logo for Radio Show Design. I made this poster using Stable Diffusion AI, which you can find here: Radio Show Design Project. Let me know what you think! Our group made the decision that each of us would design our own logo, and the following week, we would select the best one to use for our radio program. Since I’m not the best at design, I’m hoping one of my group members comes up with a somewhat better design than mine! I then left comments on multiple posts made by my classmates, the majority of which were daily creates. It’s always interesting to watch how my classmates, as opposed to myself, interpret their replies to all of our assignments. I then finished two audio assignments, a radio bumper and a commercial, for the audio show that will air the following week. I finally finished off this week’s work by completing the daily creates on Sunday: Daily Create #1, Monday: Daily Create #2, and Tuesday: Daily Create #3. Compared to when I started this course, I think my ability to be creative with the daily create tasks is improving.
I completed the assignments without any problems this week as well. Preparing for the audio show the next week has been my favorite part of this week. Writing the script, filming the commercial, and designing the bumper have all been enjoyable projects. All I can hope for is that next week’s audio show turns out fantastic!
I really wouldn’t change a thing. I believe I did the best I could on each assignment. At this moment, I have no questions. As of right now, everything is completed accurately thus there aren’t any significant problems with my work.
For this Promo poster I used GenCraft to generate this orange cat on top of a desk with a mic infront of him. Later I used Adobe Express to add the letters and edit the font of the letters to the poster. I really like how the results came out for this poster. I like that the poster gives clean and straight forward promo.
