Bumper Sticker

I decided to create a bumper sticker because my other group members had the logos well covered. I also chose a bumper sticker because, at least in my personal experience, people mostly listen to podcasts or the radio in the car while driving. For this reason, I thought that advertising on a bumper sticker was the most appropriate.

I decided to go with a color scheme that matched the logo created by Tyler. I also think that blues are a good choice for anything sci-fi or AI related. I used “tuned into” because it suggests that the driver is listening to it constantly, which shows others that it’s a really good podcast. I also used signal towers as it seemed like an appropriate graphic that shows that it’s some sort of radio show. Of course, I wanted the name of the podcast to be bolded and underlined so people’s eyes gravitate towards the show name.

Radio Show Poster

I wanted to start off the assignment with the poster itself because I think it came out so good! I wanted to keep it simple while also having it be eye catching. I went with a bulls eyes effect in the middle to grab attention similar to the hypnotic circles. However, the purpose is not to hypnotize anyone, therefore, I added a huge, bright, and colorful radio in the middle. I used Canva throughout the entire process of creating this as it’s something I’ve become very familiar and quite fond of. I added a curved statement around the main part so that viewers know the purpose of this poster. I like the curved text aspect since it looks less boring than a straight line of text. Also, it blends seamlessly with what I created.

Since my group and I have not made much progress on the actual project yet, there is a lot of missing information for this poster. For example, I would incorporate the show name in there somehow once it is finalized. Additionally, a catchphrase or slogan would be a good addition as well. There are also optional details one could add to this like a date, time, and location. Also, if this is an ongoing podcast for example, you could add the topic/movie/tv show that will be discussed.

Now for fun, I also added a possible logo based off of the poster I created.

It’s the same thing but this time, the main part of it would be centered and the two text boxes would be changed accordingly.

Something I’m not quite sure of would be the colors. Mainly the background color. It looks quite boring but anything else was a distraction to the main part, so I just kept it as is.

Hope you guys like it!

Weekly Summary

by Andrew Johnson

To start this week, I wanted to finish all my daily creations before I had to switch lanes and work on my assignments for the radio show. Check out my daily creations, Daily Create: 03/19, Daily Create: What’s Next?, and Endangered Poem. My favorite one that I produced was “Endangered Poem” because the Hawaiian poem that I used represented a sense of safety for those who love nature as I do.

My progress in forming a radio show has been coming along better than expected. My partners have been more than willing to help and assist with creating ideas and concepts that will be used during our show. We have met and discussed what our intentions are with the show as well as how to formulate a solid basis for our viewers.

Using iMovie I made Radio Intro and Quick Break. These two Audio Assignments can be found in the assignment bank for those who want to make new ones. Also, the intro will fit perfectly into our show. With that, our sponsors provide funding for us to be able to produce such a radio show.

Logic Pod Audios

When thinking of and creating the different audio assignments, I was definitely thinking of my own experience listening to podcasts and how the different audios were used and recorded. I then applied this knowledge to the context of my character, Isaiah Beacon, and I think I came up with a couple of creative audios that worked well for the character.

First, I created the outro because it seemed like the most important part. Again, I was thinking about podcasts I’ve listened to and how the outro sometimes takes 1-3 minutes while the host gives appropriate credit and then plugs premium content that listeners can subscribe to. I used an AI voice generator to do the voice of Isaiah, and I think the voice I picked it pretty spot on to how I’ve imagined it. I then picked some upbeat, electronic music for the background. I had a fun time advertising the premium content and having Isaiah guilt his congregation into subscribing or donating because I think that’s what he’d do.

Second, I created a commercial for Isaiah Beacon Ministries, and I once again used an AI voice generator for the commercial voice. Originally, I was just going to make a commercial that just advertised service times and to increase church attendance. I then realized that Isaiah’s media empire is bigger than just services, so I expanded a bit to include the media offerings as well as the services. I was going to end the commercial after she mentions the educational content, but then I thought it would be funny to advertise a homeschool product launch so parents can safely raise their children in a pro-AI environment. This is pretty on par for Isaiah as he’s always looking ahead towards the future, so he may as well indoctrinate the children now. I once again using more uplifting, electronic music for the background.
