Sundaes Rebranded

For this Daily Create I was supposed to rename something after my own name. I chose ice cream sundaes because I love eating ice cream and also because I don’t hear people use the word “ice cream sundae” that much so renaming it would be easy.

Blue Bell

For this Daily Create I was supposed to use a color finder than make a picture that matched the name of the color given. For mine I chose the color “Blue Bell” so I found a picture of a bell online and then colored the picture completely blue.

Pi or Pie

For this Daily Create we needed to find something that celebrated Pi Day so I chose a slice of pie for today since I know a lot of other people also eat pie on Pi day as a joke.

Noir Games Ideas

Synopsis

Noir Games was inspired by my original post called Mission: Probably Impossible.

Runa Starr can take down almost any foe, steal the most guarded treasures, and spy on anyone without leaving a single trace behind, but when her boss sends her on her wildest mission yet she thinks she might’ve finally met her match. She must win a silly game show that requires answering the most bizarre questions. Not only that, but the show is team vs team and her boss unknowingly paired her up with the rebellion member that she absolutely hates working with. Hopefully she can overcome this obstacle and still complete the mission.

In the radio game show Runa is paired up with Jaxx Yohan who she clashes with while trying to answer the questions because they can’t agree on what the correct answer is. Jaxx Yohan was also sent on this mission from their boss at their own agency so a lot is on the line for them as well. On the other team is Max Matrix and an another person who have been supposedly close friends for years so they work well together and are in the lead for most of the game show because they seem to know the answer to every question. If possible, I want the game show to also have a funny host who asks the questions and makes snarky comments. For the ending there will be a big plot twist of Runa and Jaxx Yohan realizing that Max Matrix and their teammate are paid actors for the show where they are basically fed the correct answers secretly by an ear piece so that the producers don’t actually have to pay winners. So then for the final questions they force the host to play fair by everyone answering questions without any secret assistance and may the best person win.

If we can’t get enough members in time for our group then instead of teams it will just be Runa Starr vs Max Matrix, and Jaxx Yohan can be the funny host. So it is the same story but with slight adjustments.

Digital Media

Since the game show is all audio we can add in sound effects like an audience cheering, booing, or clapping as a reaction to answering questions. Buzzer and bing noises can be used for correct and wrong answers. We could also add in a game show theme song sound at the beginning to make it seem more like a realistic game show.

Theme

To keep the cyberpunk and tech noir theme we will make the questions asked to our characters in the game show based on the theme. Most likely we will have to ask questions based off of movies and shows, but if we have a different idea that fits the questions’ theme then we will try that.

Week 8

This week was pretty simple, which I’m very thankful for since I’ve been insanely busy.

I teamed up with Carson and Dakota for our radio show project.

I also wrote an idea for our group’s radio show. It was a bit challenging because I had to come up with a creative way for the characters to interact.

Meeting New Friends in DS106 Week 8

This week, our class had to form into our groups for the upcoming radio show assignments. my groupmates and I have all introduced ourselves to each other and created a fun group chat! We also have already planned a zoom meeting on this coming Monday to bring all of our ideas together. I’m very excited to talk with everyone and narrow our focus to prepare for the upcoming weeks in this class. This group radio show project will take this class to a new creative level! It has been fun getting to be individually creative but I’m very stoked to get to share creativity with others in this class.

Eric Little is a 22-year-old guy who has always led a simple life. He grew up in a peaceful suburban town and is the type of person who follows the rules, keeps his circle small, and thinks the best in others. He’s not the kind to get engaged in shady circumstances, but one day his world comes crashing down.

Suddenly, Eric gets charged with a serious cybercrime that he did not commit. The tale has been widely reported by the media, which portrays him as a proficient hacker who carried out a significant attack on a company system. However, Eric is clueless as to how he became involved in something so risky. He was framed for the crime by powerful forces and forced into a sinister plot that was beyond of his control.

As the plot develops, Eric’s life turns into a race against the clock to get his name cleared. Realizing that the world is considerably more crooked than he ever thought, he starts to lose faith in everyone around him. He starts to lose his idealistic perspective on the world when people he believed to be friends, allies, and even complete strangers appear to have ulterior motives.

There is more to the conspiracy that surrounds Eric than simply dishonest hackers. Corporate leaders like Finn Calloway, a tech CEO whose company is based on power and data, are affected. Calloway Systems, Calloway’s company, is involved in a cyberwarfare game where manipulation with huge stakes is common. Finn is a man who’s always thinking ahead, and he’s one of the few who knows Eric is innocent, yet he’s forced to play a dangerous game of silence to protect his own empire.

Eric isn’t alone in this fight, though. DK, a laid-back car salesman with a knack for staying under the radar, gets pulled into the mess. Initially reluctant, DK becomes one of the few people willing to help Eric, even if it means risking his own life. He isn’t your conventional hero, but when the system has you locked down, the only way out is through the system’s own cracks.

The deeper Eric digs into the conspiracy, the more he learns that everyone has a price, and the world he thought was fair is anything but. From the media’s portrayal of him as a villain to the criminal figures pulling the strings behind the scenes, Eric’s journey is a harsh wake-up call. Who can he trust when everyone around him is out for something more than just the truth?

Week 8 Summary

Stuck in darkness

Daily Creates

This week was a good week fresh off spring break with room to breathe! Feeling the creative juices flow and for once not completely dreading a group project. Introverted with social anxiety is not a great combination when it comes to group projects. Still my fear of failure is stronger than my fear of people. Looking forward to starting next week I imagine me and the sound library will become good friends again. This week I enjoyed looking through the characters to create my mini-introduction to my story it’s a shame I won’t get to do it, but it was fun to think of. Enjoyed making the random Canva stuff too. I like it a lot. Overall, a calm week which is what we need to get our molecules right.

Found everyone for the group now it’s time to consider how best to meet and talk everything out. As usual lots of unique daily create topics thought the graph one had me stuck since it’s been a hot minute since I had to do an info graphic, it was actuality my fsem course. Good thing I am still blasting Not Like Us.

For this DC, I said I was going to name the color of the white sand – “White Sand” LOL I tried to be silly!

One of my favorite days of the year!! It’s fricken Pi Day people, wooooohoo! I posed a GIF of a woman running while eating something and I also posted a “Classic” apple pie picture next to it. I captioned this, “MEEE ON MY WAY TO GET SOME PI(E) RN”

Weekly Summary 8

This week was a more chill week, we started off by forming groups for you podcast project. I reached out in the discord about people who are looking for groups and I got into one very easy. We then had to create 3 Daily Create Week 8, these were easy and fun. Lastly we had to comment so I went on the homepage found some peoples websites that I liked and commented. I also have received a lot of comments and its nice to hear positive comments and comments that can help improve my website. Overall this was a very nice week.
