For today’s daily create I had to create an old Dutch tile with a one liner on the tile. For my one liner I decided to choose the phrase ” Be Happy”. I chose this because I believe everyone in life should be happy, no one deserves to be depressed or sad. Hope you enjoy!
This week was almost exclusive about creating our group radio show. My group was Aggressive Testimonials, where Düşünür is interviewing Georgia Finch and Andrea Grant about Aggressive Tech’s shady business. Here’s a rundown of this week:
1. I did two daily creates.
2. I made another radio bumper.
3. We made our radio show!
As this week comes to an end, I look back at what I accomplished as well as what my group accomplished. For starters we completed our radio show. We worked really hard on this project, and I think the finished product shows for our efforts. We used many different applications to create our show. We used Pixabay.com to find music for our radio bumpers, we used elevenlabs.io to write our script for the radio bumpers, and we used both of these applications for our intro and outro. We used Audacity as our main application for recording our radio show. We recorded all of our parts in Audacity, as well as uploaded all of our radio bumpers, intros, outros, and commercials. Over the course of DS106 I have begun to really like using Audacity. It is simple to navigate and can create a lot of unique recordings that I never imaged I could create on my own. Overall, I think the project went smoothly and there wasn’t much trouble/conflict. The only “trouble” we had was just rerecording what we were going to say because we messed up or forgot what we were going to say. I think our final product is great and is definitely worth taking a listen to. Besides the radio show we had two daily creates to complete. I would have to say my favorite of the two I completed was the one about my least favorite chore. Everyone has that one chore they don’t like doing at all. Mine least favorite is doing the dishes. To make doing the dishes go by quicker me and my brother race to see who can do the dishes the fastest and the fast time is the winner. By doing this we get create a fun game out of doing something we both don’t like doing and it gets the chore done at the same time. Overall, this week was a little stressful with the radio show, but it was a fun and memorable experience completing it. Until next time!
For today’s daily create I am going to talk about my least favorite chore to do. My least favorite chore is washing the dishes because it takes a long time. A game me and my brother play to help get over doing the dishes is we time each other to see who can clean them the fastest. Fastest time is the winner. The Daily Creates are really the grounding task each week. They are enjoyable to do, and I look forward to reading the prompt of the assignment. This week marked the completion of our radio show.

It was a long grueling 7 hours, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Definitely the most fun and fulfilling projects to date, but it was a LOT of work. I learned a lot about audio editing, and I think my workflow would have been cut down to half the time or less if I had more experience or more expert skills to be more efficient.
As always, here are my daily creates for the week.
Are we back to normal operations next week for ds106? I’m not sure, but I might need a breather after that crazy project.
For today’s daily create I am ruining a book title by changing a single letter of the title. The book I am choosing to use is Moby Dick. Instead, the new title is Moby Sick. This new novel is about Captain Ahab’s adventure to discover why Moby is sick and what is causing his sickness. The captain goes through great lengths to study Moby’s behavior. The end of the novel is quite shocking, you don’t want to miss it.
As I look back at the week the first thing that stands out to me is the progress my group has made on the radio show. We have a couple of radio bumpers and introductions ready to pick from to incorporate in our radio show. All of our radio bumpers and introductions were made on audacity. We also talked about including ads in our show. We haven’t recorded anything yet, but our plan is to lay out all of our information we are going to talk about. Each person in the group is going to talk about their character and their day in the life as we all have different types of characters. Our plan is to use Audacity to record all our radio show. Audacity has been a great tool and I’ve started to like t more and more each time I use it. Creating the logo for the show was fun and interesting. Using design.com I messed around with numerous different color schemes, design layouts, etc… As far as weekly creates go my favorite would have to be todays daily create. I enjoyed creating a new design for a bicycle. I wanted to give my new design a futuristic look. Overall, this week was a lot of planning and prepping for next week. I am looking forward to next week. Until next time!
I started on things early this week. It had quite the list.
Saturday, I posted the promotional poster for the radio show group I made Friday. When I was making it on Friday I sent the picture to the radio show group for thoughts. I am not the creator of Dr. Ravioli, and I wanted the creator’s thoughts. Summers approved of the cat.
I had no creative thought for titles on Saturday when I did the daily create.
On Monday I did radio show stuff. There will be a post for it linked at the end of the weekly summery. I also did this daily create.
Mid-week it was brought to my attention I put the name of our radio show out of order. It is Ravioli Radio not Radio Ravioli. I edited my poster to put the name to rights.
On Friday I did a mad scramble to finish up my projects. I started the week so strong by getting work done and out of the way too.
This was the 1st Audio Assignment I finished a fictional ad.
I found a way to use my second audio assignment for the radio show. I put Lady Alice’s dialog in a different order then it will be used.
Well that concludes week 9.
This week was all about my group’s radio show, Aggressive Testimonials. This week was busy for all of my classes, so I was worried about completing all of this. Luckily I know more about audio and photo editing than I did during the last assignment so everything went smoothly.
Here is a rundown of everything I did this week.
1. I did three daily creates.
2. I made a radio bumper, poster, and fake commercial for the show.
3. I detailed my group’s progress on developing our show.
I had a good week and I am proud of the work I did, even if I took a few shortcuts in the editing and design processes.
