Radio Show Progress

We collaborated effectively by communicating through Discord, where we shared our audio files and tools we could’ve used to elevate the quality of the radio show. We used a group chat to give updates on what we’ve completed and what needs to be done soon.

This week, our main focus was on crafting the script together. We all contributed ideas and worked on it simultaneously using Google Docs. We came to the conclusion that the host will ask questions on AI and Hwei and Rikaro will give strange answers that support it, but Kevin will react strangely to the answers and provide a more optimistic response.

Robin took our audio files and put it together to make the masterpiece we have now. It was a fun experience coming up with the story and script of the project. My group worked together so well and we all did our part.

Week 9 Summary

This week was great. My group came up with multiple ideas that I expanded on in my post on our radio show.

To promote our radio show, I created a poster that gave a sense of professionalism, which will be a contrast to the insane nature of our characters.

I did two audio assignments that we can implement into our radio show. First, I created a commercial for Rikaro’s company, PrimalTech, which promotes the ideals of Rikaro.

Second, I made a bumper for when we were gonna play advertisements to let the listeners know we were transitioning into ads.

Next week, our group will be about done writing our parts of the scripts, completing the radio show. I’m excited to see our final product!

Radio Show Week 1

After forming a group with Robin, Melea, and Tyler, we spoke on a call to discuss our characters to find an outline of what our radio show should be focused on. Initially, Robin and I decided that my character will be a shady character that the others will have to deal with as they slowly realize how insane my character is but after a brief discussion, we realized that everyone’s character had shady backgrounds. We wanted to focus on the topic of AI, since all of our characters are for it. I was worried, since there wouldn’t be a debate, but I realized that our reasons for agreeing on AI were very different. This gave us a lot to work with, so there could be many moments of comedy or quality discussion. Some of our characters are wanted for crimes, so we thought it would make sense to add voice changers to keep our character’s identities secret. Finally, we brainstormed on a name for our radio show. We decided on the name, Logic Pod: The Tech Podium.

Radio Show Design

For the radio show promotion, I decided on creating a poster that gives a sense of friendliness. This would be in contrast to what the reality of our radio show will be. Every character is a shady person, but I think this poster makes it feel professional and optimistic in a ethical way. In reality, our character’s points are going to be questionable at best.

Rikaro’s Radio Commercial

80’s Product Radio Commercial

The assignment description asks to create a 30-45 second radio commercial for a product from the 80’s. I bent this rule to apply to our group’s radio show by creating a commercial for Rikaro’s company, PrimalTech. Since Rikaro has a skill for applying advanced technology into military weapons and armory, I wanted him to promote new weapons and concepts that will implement AI into them. It has a subtle hint of Rikaro ignoring the consequences of his ideas, since it’s in line with his character.

LOVO Pitch

Hey, it’s Rikaro. I have some thoughts on our recent choice of implementing LOVO within our advertisements.

Aggressive Technologies has always been known for its innovative spirit and the human touch it brings to every project. But a new trend is emerging – AI voice generators like LOVO promise faster, cheaper content creation. While the efficiency might be tempting, is replacing human voices with robotic ones the right move for a company that thrives on connection and creativity? LOVO might churn out generic marketing materials and eLearning modules, but what about the impact? Studies show human voices resonate with emotion, build trust, and leave a lasting impression. LOVO can’t replicate the subtle nuances that make a message truly connect with an audience. Think about your talented in-house teams and voice actors. They’re the ones who breathe life into your content, who understand the power of storytelling and emotional connection. LOVO might seem like a shortcut, but it ultimately undermines the human capital that sets Aggressive Technologies apart. The future of content creation isn’t about homogenization, it’s about harnessing the power of human ingenuity. Instead of relying on AI, invest in your people, equip them with the latest tools to enhance their creative process. Let them tell stories infused with genuine feeling, because that’s what builds lasting relationships with customers and learners. Aggressive Technologies doesn’t need to follow the crowd. By focusing on the strength of human connection and creativity, you’ll continue to outpace the competition and forge a path unlike any other. Let’s discuss how to amplify your human edge and leave LOVO in the dust.

Week 8 Summary

This week I created a sales pitch for Aggressive Technologies as Rikaro. I wanted to add to the lore of Rikaro’s relationship with the company. I wanted some sense of tension in this pitch, so I made Rikaro question the use of AI for everything. He wanted to use AI for the benefit of humanity, not the replacement of them.

Also, my group came up with some ideas on how our project should go and I can see some promising results happening in the future. Emphasizing our character’s personalities will make this a unique radio show.

Week 7 Summary

This has been a tough two weeks, due to health complications. Strep throat had been causing immense pain in my throat, but after I healed, I got a migraine for the first time in my life. Light has been causing a strain in my brain, but I think I am getting better. This week, I made a propaganda poster I am proud of.

I wanted a something that had a sleek appeal but had a ominous undertone, so I hope it worked.

I also made a PSA using a text-to-speech generator to give a “technological” vibe.

It is sharing how hiring is their priority right now, but there is an urgency for some hidden reason that I will come to explain in the future when I have put more thought into it.

Overall, midterms and my health have been a challenge, so hopefully I can do much more in the upcoming week.

Aggressive Tech. PSA

This is a PSA that plays occasionally throughout the day, when Aggressive Technologies are in their early days before they had a hand in everything. Rikaro would hear this and feel a sense of pride in the advancements in the AI he had a hand in improving. The PSA’s will change when Rikaro fights back, where the tone will shift to a more aggressive attitude and they would focus more on violence and hostility within our country, so their tech needs to advance where they can catch Rikaro.
