For this create I had to create a cool image on mandelbrot Fractal art tool. Here is what I made:
Everyone is addicted to something. What is something you could not go one day without and why?
Mine would realistically be eating and drinking water, but besides that it would be training for CrossFit/working out. I do go days without training but I hate them especially if they are not a well deserved rest day and I’m not sore or tired. This is an expression for me and if I don’t do it for a while I bottle things up and get angry. I could go forever without a phone and be alone all day, but without activity for my mind and body to connect I cannot live.
Sol has made a video pitch on why Aggressive Technologies should be run out of business. We all know that Sol has no hope for Aggressive Technologies and does not have faith that they will be good for humanity, so they have finally stepped foot to try to make a change.
Here is the video pitch:
They wrote the script for the video pitch, but utilized what they consider a good form of AI to create text to speech, because they did not want to reveal themselves quite yet and wanted to keep anonymity.
The pitch is more to start a movement, to gather people and gain more voices against Aggressive Technologies. Sol really wishes they could explain how the first red flag should’ve been the word Aggressive in the title . . . foolish of them.
While they’re not human, they understand how important human creativity is, how special it is, and that is why Sol is speaking out about it. If the humans do not realize, they will shove the truth in their faces until they finally understand.
Sol probably is getting tired of this and wants to get back to focusing on sky paintings.
I chose to use Fliki for this project. I had never heard of it before, but it was fairly easy to make without me having to do much at all other than some easy tweaks. There’s something really ironic about using AI to condemn AI . . . but I didn’t make the assignment.
I meant to copy the exact prompt I gave it for this, but it finished generating before I could copy it, and then it wouldn’t let me go back to the prompt (I was afraid it’d delete it if I went to the previous page). But roughly, I put in “generate a video pitch in a passive aggressive tone that explains why Aggressive Technologies (a company that is gaining control of most of the technology in our world) is a danger to artists and humanity and individuality and should be put out of business.”
I kind of like the more TikTok-esc style of video it went with. I couldn’t edit that, and I couldn’t edit the voice either (unless I just couldn’t find it) but think it was fine! I feel like this style of video is something that this generation is becoming a lot more familiar with, and it’s good to use familiarity in a pitch that’s meant to start a movement.
I’m not sure what else to say! There really wasn’t much that I did with this! I don’t hate it but I’m not a fan of it (I feel uneasy whenever I have to use generative AI). It’s done, though!
EDIT: I have done this assigment wrong . . . I misread the instructions, I thought we were putting Aggressive Technologies out of business, not having it put the AI we used out of business . . . well, it’s too late now, I hope this is fine!
I decided to take a funny idea from an episode of Larry David’s show Curb Your Enthusiasm in which he came up with an idea to have skis that screw together like pool cues. So I used an AI generator for both creating my pitch and one to pitch it to. For making the pitch I used writecream.com and asked ChatGPT what they thought. This is what is gave me:
Tired of struggling to carry your skis around? With our revolutionary new screw-open-and-closed skis, you’ll never have to worry about it again! These skis are just as easy to carry as a pool cue, so you can focus on enjoying your time on the slopes. Made with the highest quality materials, our skis are built to last and provide you with the best possible skiing experience. So what are you waiting for? Order your pair of screw-open-and-closed skis today!
And here is ChatGPT’s response:
Your pitch sounds intriguing! Highlighting the convenience and durability of your skis is a great approach. You might also consider emphasizing any unique features that set your skis apart from traditional designs, such as ease of transport and innovative technology.
This week we assembled groups for our upcoming radio show audio projects. I got to the sheet a bit late but immediately eyed a group that was going to talk about pop culture/characters/movies and immediately wanted that one. I believe it was formed by Latifah and she was kind enough to let me join in. I’m excited about getting to talk about something I recently got big into (movies) this past year and hoping to work with some fine peers of mine. I think my group ended up in total being me, Latifah, Leila, Tubba, and Reese. I’m also excited to see everyone else’s creations. Wishing you all the best.
No time for fun intros! Here are my Daily Creates!
Wednesday, 3/13‘s prompt was,
“The Zazow Mandelbrot Fractal art tool is strange (so, you know, perfectly suited for The Daily Create) and using its various tools and sliders (suggestion: click “advanced mode”) is sure to send you down a rabbit hole of color and fractal-ish design.”
So here‘s what I did! (and here‘s my second comment because I continued playing after I posted already)
Don’t get dizzy (I’m getting dizzy and I’m not even looking at it, it’s just above my text.
There really isn’t a lot to say about this, except that it was really cool to explore!! I said that the third one reminded me of The Great Gatsby, but I couldn’t think of why. My point still stands!
Also, there really isn’t a story for this one, it was fairly simple and just play around with the website.
Thursday, 3/14‘s prompt was,
“Everyone is addicted to something. What is something you could not go one day without and why?“
Which, I replied with, “I think the obvious answer is my phone, BUT I think a different answer is my cat! I’ve talked about her before (her name’s Cat if you remember), but I need to just be with here at least once during my day and just cuddle her. It’s like my therapy. She’s getting old now, though . . . but no negativity!! she’s my baby still”
I have this picture of her from an older post that I didn’t attach to the post on Mastodon, but you guys can see it here
oh my baby . . . what would I do without you? She sleeps curled up with me every night, it’s just so hard to imagine being without her!
Because this DC was just text, there really is no story, but just lots of love for my baby baby baby Cat.
Friday, 3/15‘s prompt was,
“Put a modern appliance in an old photo or an old painting.“
I knew exactly what I had to do.
(open canva)
So, through Canva, I very simply put some airpods in Lincoln’s ears
Why Lincoln? I don’t know, he was the first person to come to mind. Why airpods? Because for some reason, it is really funny to imagine airpods in really old photos. Especially Lincoln having airpods. Like why would he have airpods?
What kind of music would he even listen to today?
Something’s telling me he loves rnb . . . but you just have to trust me.
But yeah! This was easy to make, just grabbed the photo of Lincoln and a photo of airpods on Google, and mashed them together in Canva! Easy peasy, took barely 2 minutes.
Job well done is all I have to say
I appreciate how this week had a slow start, it was much needed after spring break.
Starting off this week, I was having trouble finding a group for the radio shows. I had my name under the “looking for a group” but still had no luck. I then saw and read the description of the group created by Latifah, who then I contacted via email to join since it sparked my interest!
Moving forward, I started with my first daily create, When Two Worlds Collide. If it wasn’t for these daily creates, I would’ve never known about these art tools. I love playing around with the tools and having my own interpretation of the art.
My next daily create was my addiction – Always Caffeinated. Here I also shared how I am fasting this month and how I’m working around my coffee addiction. Additionally, the delicious latte I was served while being 40,000 feet in the air!
Next, was the assignment of the week, AI Sales Pitch. Where I explored an AI tool, AI Room Planner. Here I discussed the functionality of the overall tool and why Aggressive Technologies should acquire this tool. It’s a really fun and interactive website that offers various styles you can configure your room to be and find some inspiration. However, the tool does require a few tweaks for it to function more accurately.
Lastly, the third and final daily create of the week which was the Ferrari At The House. I could talk about cars all day long! I chose a Ferrari since it’s my favorite F1 team!
Hope you all had a great week, can’t wait to get started on the radio shows!
Week 8 was a long week for me, I was busy a lot of the times but I am glad this class is a good creative break for me! I am excited to join a radio show and I hope I can bring a lot to the team! and I had a fun time pitching an AI art tool. I like flipping to my course characters mindset and write like them.
Oh! and of course the daily creates, always a fun little assignment to do!
I felt like being able to use AI tools is really fun to see the amount of tools we have in the world! Being able to learn and be creative with a tool is always helpful.
anyways! I hope everyone had a good week!

So, this week was kind of tough for me because I was out of town for work. I would leave my room at 6am and I wouldn’t get back until about 7pm so very night I had to scramble to do the daily creates and other class assignments before the deadlines. That was an interesting challenge to navigate. I was glad this week was light on the work so I could get everything done, despite having to do some of it in an airport. That was a new experience for me so I’m glad I got to do it.
So, the first thing I did was the daily creates. I was worried I wouldn’t get these done because of the time difference and I didn’t know how they would be counted if I missed the mark. I feel like i did them on the right days, but I’m not so sur since my computer time didn’t change with the regional time. Here was my post about them.
I also wrote my character’s proposal for an interesting AI tool that could generate models form words or images. This was interesting since I didn’t really see the value in the tool outside of toy making until I got into my character’s head and thought a bit more critically for the future of the tool. Kevin’s optimism for AI is making me think differently and I kind of enjoy that. Here is his proposal to Aggressive Technologies.
I also joined a group with Robin, Mustafa, and Melea for the radio show project. Our show is called “Rikaro’s Thoughts – Featuring….”. We will put in the character names when the group is finalized, I’m pretty sure. I thought this would be good because I feel my character is highly opinionated on AI and a forum to discuss his thoughts is exactly what he wants. To get his voice out there and recruit for his cause. He is confrontational so this will be interesting. We intend to communicate through text and email and discord to work together to make a great show. I can’t wait!
So, overall, this was a successful week. It was rough trying to get the stuff done while traveling, but I managed, I think.
