This week was a little lighter on the small assignments and more heavily focused on the podcast. I started off this week like any other week by finishing the Daily Create Week 10. I then commented on some other peoples blogs and asked some questions too!. The next step was completing the radio show. I used Audacity to record my voice reading from my script about news reports in NOVA. This was a kinda of hard process because I had to figure out how to say things to come across as Jack Cross. Then next step of this process was going onto free sounds and getting some car noises to put in the recording to make it really come across as Jack Cross since he is a car guy. Once I finished my part of the podcast we all sent them to one of our most skilled group mates in Audacity. They slowly put it together bit by bit using the radio bumpers, commercials and parts to create out full radio show! The last part was writing my radio show progress report which was pretty easy. Radio Show Progress. All in all this week was very fun and it was cool to see our podcast come to life!

Radio Show Progress
In the second week of the radio show it was pretty easy as my group and I talked about what needed to be done by when. I started by finding interesting news articles in my area and started to think about what I should say and how I should say it. Once I recorded my 5 minute section I went into Free sounds and found sounds that would relate to my course character so it would seem as if Jack Cross was the news reporter. After my part of the section was completed the most skilled group member in Audacity started to slowly put them together and add in the radio bumpers and commercial’s, all in all we have made all the progress to end up completing the assignment
Radio Show Week 2
Welcome foolish travelers you are enter the mind of an all pronoun It with Add and Adhd who is on their period and sleep deprived turn back nowww.
Well, I will make this awfully clear I hate group projects. I will not apologize for that.
If it wasn’t literally part of the grade to work together I would do it all myself just avoid the stress projects like this bring me.
A. I am full of it B. I expect too much C. I really just want to sleep D. I am a hypocrite
So far, I was meant to arrange the audio it should have been done Wednesday but it’s not done yet. AHAHA I am gonna punch the wall. Lawyer talk, due to external issues I have been unable to complete the task originally assigned to me. Leading to an altered timeline that will affect the overall performance. Despite the agreed upon approach there appeared to be a moment of miscommunication causing the current predicament.
Aka WTF MF WTH WAYEBA SWMPTAJGBIH No it’s not gibberish, anyway I was tasked with arranging the audios into a good pace and fixing the sound, thought I would take a day at most and it did then I noticed the issue it was not long enough, the people in charge of after production things would not be able to extend the time so me and Nairah worked hard to extend the script that she did originally and I have to go back and rearrange everything though I know when they add effects it will be moved again I still do my best. I look forwards to hearing how Antonio and Azrael really give our story life. Never heard of an M4A before today yet here we are. Wonderful don’t you think?
As for my contributions I also did quite a bit the first week Radio Show Progress – Flower Bed thought I could get things done quickly but I put a weird amount of effort into it. Let me show the sites I’ve used just to record.
AI Voice Cloning Tool (Free & No Login)
Narakeet – Easily Create Voiceovers and Narrated Videos Using Realistic Text to Speech!
Dr. O is a fighter, so I ended up having to clone his voice to get what I needed.

New day new progress, after work and bad interviews the last thing I want to think about is a project still gotta do it anyway. Why do I feel the urge to cry groan just gotta stay awake for 5 more hours we got thisssss. The due date is here and like with pregnancy ya gotta keep pushing kiddos.
That’s how I met your mom.
Week 10 Fearless Femmes Summary
I completed 2 Daily Creates this week! Both were personal, and about my passions and what I love. Reading books in a cozy area is my safe haven. My other DC was about having #NoLimits; Reaching new heights and pushing boundaries! I believe that breaking barriers and making new achievements is my fuel to keep going.
Here is the Fearless Femmes Radio Show Progress REPORT! I absolutely loved working with this group of ladies. They are all just fabulous! Our Fearless Femmes radio show went amazing. I have never completed an assignment like this before so it was all fairly new to me and overall such a great experience. This report gives a layout of how we prepared for the radio show this week leading up to the recording day, also how we overcame challenges together, I talk about Martina’s fantastic editing skills, and lastly, how proud we were to turn in our work. I believe that all of us were very happy with the outcome and enjoyed listening to all the final creation. I’m excited to get feedback on this and hopefully get our other classmates to listen to it.
I wanted to post a link with the podcast, for those who wanted to listen to other classmates now. But I didn’t see any instructions for that so I’ll wait just in case Week 11 is when we are supposed to share it!
I hope I get the chance to check out the other groups radio shows as well!
Week 10 and Radio Show Progress
This was a great and productive week. I participated in two Daily Creates and focused on the radio show for the rest of the week. I met with my group, and we seamlessly recorded our show at the DKC podcast studio. Since Finn is male and I have a fairly high voice, we decided to use an AI voice, which worked out well. We used SoundCloud to edit the show, which was perfect for this assignment because it allowed us to add music and audio clips. I had fun working with my group, and I’m glad we found time to record this week. It was also nice meeting some classmates in person!
Here are the Daily Creates I participated in this week.
Here is the Radio show:
Weekly Summary- 3/28

It has been filmed! This week me and my group made and edited our final script, focused on a central theme of dating in a more digitalized age with dating apps and algorithms in control. We then used the Podcast Studio in the Digital Knowledge Center to film our base radio show, recording 4 scenes to split up later in the editing process. The recording was pretty straightforward, but editing was a bit more challenging. We used soundtrap, which is a program I have never used before, but enjoyed testing and exploring. Trying to find the right times to layer sounds in the background and not disrupt the flow of the conversation. Finding all of the right timings and cutting clips when needed and easing into bumpers and commercials made for a time-consuming editing process, but I’m glad the experience is under my belt now. The finished product can be found here on SoundCloud!
You know the drill. Here are my 2 daily creates for the week:

Daily Create Shenanigans – Week 10
This week I completed 2 Daily Creates.
DC #1: I LOVE…
For this DC I posted a picture of a stack of books because I love reading books! Not only do I love reading books, but I also love reading them in a cozy comfortable environment. Where the sun is shining through, creating natural light, it’s quiet, and the seat is comfy!
DC #2: Dreams Know No Boundaries
For this DC, I got a little personal and shared a photo that said, “Dreams Know No Boundaries.” I also shared a little bit about my own goals and how I plan to keep following my dreams. With the ending hashtag of: #NoLimits
Fearless Femmes Radio Show Progress REPORTT
Okay, this group was hands down one of the best groups of people I have ever worked with! I would actually consider doing a real podcast with them in real life if we all could, no joke!
The fearless femmes made progress all week long! Monday/Tuesday we finalized our scripts and decided what types of bumpers, commercials, and everything like that we wanted to include. On Wednesday we recorded our first recording at the DKC recording studio, it was kind of an epic fail. Although, it was an outstanding first recording but then, the file got corrupted and decided to die on us. So, on Thursday we gave it another go, and our second recording was even better, of course! Thursday night, Martina/Lady Bird was so wonderful to complete the editing for us. She said she had a really nice program to use, and her editing skill set is far more advanced than any of the rest of ours (I think). Martina did an outstanding job on editing, and we are all so appreciative of her hard work and help with this entire project!! Today is Friday, and we are proudly turning it in.
I absolutely loved getting to work with this group of ladies. They are incredibly smart, talented, and have wonderful personalities. 10/10 in every category for this project.
For those who get to listen to it, I hope you enjoy it.
Sapphria Mae, OUT!
