Short summary because most of my experience is already described in the other post about my audio show project. This week was a little crazy because working on a group project completely over the internet can make communicating very complicated and leads to a lot of misunderstandings, but I think it worked out in the end. I don’t fully love how the game show came out, but my expectations for the completed product might have been a little too high for this idea. To read about the entire process and see the complete audio show you can go on my post called Noir Games. Also I had to make 2 Daily Creates this week which can be found on my post called Inside My Creative Mind.
In this futuristic radio game show called Noir Games, Runa is paired up with Max who she clashes with while trying to answer questions because they can’t seem to agree on anything. On the other team is Yohan and Lenore who seem absolutely perfect while suspiciously getting every answer correct as if they are geniuses. As the show goes on, things aren’t what they seem as Runa and Max unveil a secret behind the scenes. Also guest appearance of Dr. Oblivion as the hilariously snarky game show host!

Behind the Scenes
Noir Games was inspired by my two old post called Mission: Probably Impossible and Noir Games Ideas. I was in charge of writing the whole script so when writing our dialogue I wanted to make it as entertaining and funny as possible which is why I gave Dr. Oblivion very snarky lines and comebacks to any of the sarcastic comments the other characters were saying. Making sure the storyline and plot twist all added up was very important for making sure the plot made sense in the end which I believe was portrayed well. To make sure we kept the tech-noir theme we asked only futuristic questions in the game show that could possibly be real in the future. The commercial also kept the futuristic approach to stay on the theme.
For my character Runa all her lines were recorded and then separated into various sections on Audacity before being saved on a Google drive that could be shared with the rest of my group. These recordings were later edited in with the rest of the characters: Max, Dr. Oblivion, Lenore, and Yohan, so that the actual scenes could be played out and organized first before the sound effects, background music, intro/outro, radio bumpers, and commercials were added in.
For specifically my radio bumper and commercial it was made using Audacity with sound effects added in and a recording of my voice used for the dialogue. For more information on the process of how I made them you can see my post called Noir Games Intermission. Once the whole radio show was complete we uploaded it on SoundCloud so that it could be shared.
For this Daily Create I was supposed make a drawing of a cat and the website used ai to turn it into a realistic style. I did a simple drawing of just the cat’s face because I wasn’t sure how a fully body drawing would come out on the website.
Sad Socket
For this Daily Create I was supposed to find a face out of an object. For mine the first one that popped into my head was a socket because as a kid I remember saying how the face always looked so sad and shocked on sockets. I thought it was funny and the perfect example to use.
