I was hoping to use my green screen skills that I have learned for this. I don’t know exactly what I want to do but I think using a pet like my cat would be fun! maybe make my cat be a fun animation of my cat dancing and singing? I don’t know, Just spitting ideas! but I think it would be fun to make like The Lion King Hakuna Matata song and get me cats to sing and dance. That was my first idea I thought of but I don’t know how well that would workout for me lol! But I do think doing something with audio would be a lot more fun than just a simple old animation.
For my video project, I definitely knew that I wanted to build more upon my course character and create more of his lore in a video format. I will be attempting to use Wav2Lip, since that is a piece of technology that I’ve successfully used previously. However, when trying to find a video of Hwei from Riot Games that can be used for Wav2Lip, I realized that there isn’t a video where Hwei is talking directly forward that can be manipulated by the software. Due to this, I may be taking a clip from the movie Arcane, which is from the League of Legends world.
Hwei is not a character in this Netflix series, as he is a relatively new addition to the League of Legends universe. Due to this, I’m thinking of using the character Viktor instead.
Viktor is actually a robot in League universe, but this film goes into the backstories of different characters, so he is portrayed in his human form before the transformation. Funnily enough, Viktor is a very similar character to my rendition of Hwei, as he is a mad scientist that is an enthusiast of augmentation and the use of technology, to the point where he replaced his entire body with robotic parts to free himself of his crippled state.
Looking back at it now, I think I should have made Viktor my course character, as he is literally what Hwei stands for currently, and I had no idea until looking back in hindsight. However, maybe trying to add a personality to a blank canvas gave me more creativity in my assignments.
For the narrative of the video, I will most likely create a monologue of the pivotal moment where Hwei turned to automation and AI as his escape from reality. I will show two phases where he is initially in human form, but then turns into the idealized, robotic version of himself after a deep reflection of his ambitions and morals.
The only concern I have right now is that there will be copyright issues or that my video will be flagged by Wav2Lip or Google or any other corporation, so I’ll have to see if I get any issues using this clip.

I think I am going to use my own audio of Kevin talking bad about Rikaro and Isaiah Beacon ministries. Or actually, I will use an AI voice to protect Kevin. For those of you that listened to the Logic Pod on Monday you kind of got the eerie feeling that these two wanted AI to take over and my character Kvin as not about that despite his pro AI perspective. This was a bit of a character evolution as he WAS the evangelist archetype, but now he is more careful in his views and maybe his goals have changed.
I’m going to use the video editing tools and basically have Kevin denounce them as the real threat and that Aggressive technologies can be forgotten until these two are stopped. The war machine of Rikaro and the religious fanaticism of Isaiah are contradictory to what Kevin wanted for the future of AI and he believes they are detrimental to the cause.
So, I think my video will be like a public service announcement and I will use an old public service announcement video and use the lip synch tool to animate it with Kevin’s voice and message. I think he will also try to subtly convert some of their followers to his cause. Kevin knows this will draw attention to himself, but he believes they must be stopped.
The initial script will be something like this.
“Hello everyone, there is a serious topic we need to address.
Earlier this week on the Logic Pod podcast, Isaiah Beacon and Rikaro, the CEO of ( ) made it very clear that they want to utilize AI to the detriment of humanity and this cannot stand.
They want to Advance AI only for the military application and only to reach violent ends. Wake up people! Aggressive Technologies used to be the threat, but now it is clearly Isaiah and Rikaro.
I implore you, the public, to stand up to their violent rhetoric and bring attention to their nefarious plotting.
If you care about humanity and want to ensure AI is used only for good, you should join the cause of Future perfect. They intend to let AI grow and progress and ensure it is used to develop the world for good, and not for violent ends.
We must not let them win!”
So yeah, something like that. I am utilizing the free video archives to try and find a good public service announcement that fits the length and has a good person speaking.
For general context, I plan on telling the story through a story book animation. So in between scenes, there will be a page flip. Here is an outline for the story:
My character Isaiah Beacon will be on stage filming a sermon for his audience and he will go into the horrors of the secular education system against AI. He’ll preach against strict AI tool bans in college classrooms. He’ll then announce that he’s arranged a televised debate against him and a prominent AI professor about the proper use of AI in the classroom, Dr. Oblivion.
Dr. Oblivion and Isaiah Beacon are at opposing podiums, and the moderator will end up asking 3 questions and they will each give a response and back and forth.
Dr. Oblivion will come out as the obvious winner with cheering from the audience, and Isaiah leaves upset.
Isaiah returns to his audience and warns them that the problem in higher education is even worse than he thought. He then unveils his plans for a new university, Isaiah Beacon University, that’ll properly promote AI in its curriculum.
As we finished our first ever production of Three Point Chatter, I want to build off of my AI character, Jonathan, and his involvement with Aggressive Technologies. I plan to build my video about manipulating others to join the power of Aggressive Technologies since it is becoming the most forceful entity in the United States, you are either with it or not. Those who are not with it will fall in the dust and left behind for the cleanup. Something new that I tend to incorporate is having a AI voice ask questions to my Jonathan. I picked this up after listening to ds106 Radio yesterday. My main factor will be propaganda to influence people to join with the program (Aggressive Technologies), hoping they will not be left out of cutting edge artificial intelligence & market opportunities to make a boat load of money. I will most likely use iMovie to create sounds and edits so that my video comes out straight.
I found the directions of the upcoming project kind of dull, but I also like the free room to roam and brainstorm. I understand fundamentally what we have to do but it’s been kind hard for me to think of ideas. I kind of want to try a deepfake video or like a movie edit. I also kind of want to maybe do something with music and recreate a nostalgic time in history to elicit some nostalgia. I think I can mix all of that into a video somehow and will definitely try. This one will require some help so definitely going to the DKC and also am willing to work with anyone in a group for these upcoming projects if anyone is willing! I will definitely invest more time into them too, if anyone is down let me know!
As detailed in the weekly assignment blog, during weeks 11 and 12 we are diving into video manipulation techniques. This assignment tasks us with utilizing a public domain source to make a video, focusing on the themes of: AI, Aggressive Technologies, Dr. Oblivion, our course characters, or a blend of some of the themes. As with all assignments, it is important to be creative because this assignment obviously wants us to experiment with various video elements to craft an engaging video.
Rishi and I worked well together on the audio show so we decided to run it back and work together again on this video project. Here is what we came up with in our outline of our video:
introduction (0:00-0:15) – The video will open with an animation of a futuristic cityscape, which will serve as the mood for the investigation of artificial intelligence. Text introducing the two main course characters and their journey via introducing everyone to the field of artificial intelligence and its beneficial implications for the world will be featured in this section.
Smart Home (0:15-0:45) –In this segment, Xander and Julius tour a smart home, showcasing every gadget in the house and demonstrating how artificial intelligence powers it all. To demonstrate how AI has permeated all of these industries, the text on the screen, for instance, will discuss security systems, visual assistants, and thermostats. It will also demonstrate how these techniques are utilized in conjunction with AI to simplify duties considerably.
Healthcare (0:45-1:15) – Xander and Julius will evaluate the effects of AI in the healthcare industry in this section. After that, the protagonists enter an environment reminiscent of a hospital, where they begin by showcasing the computers that are evaluating patient data, making diagnoses based on information provided by the doctors, and generally supporting medical staff. They showcase all of these features while a text explanation explaining what’s happening and how AI is affecting the healthcare industry appears on the screen.
Entertainment (1:15-1:45) – The characters find themselves at an entertainment complex full of different AI-led experiences and attractions in the third and final segment of the video. Put another way, Xander and Julius will highlight how artificial intelligence (AI) fully and entirely drives the creation of virtual reality games, AI-generated art, and personalized entertainment recommendations, improving and elevating these subfields within the entertainment industry for the benefit of all parties involved. Similar to the previous sections, while the images play in the background, there will be writing on the screen explaining everything.
Conclusion (1:45-2:00) – This completes the last segment of the video and serves as its ending. Each character will share a brief speech-style statement detailing their experiences exploring the AI world and sharing their opinions on the direction the field is headed. The last few frames of the video will be shown to the audience as a last message is displayed on screen, probably against a black background. It will stay visible for a few seconds. This will guarantee that the audience remembers anything and make them continue to consider it after watching the movie. Perhaps it will even attract more viewers to the video.
While lots of this will be hard to pull off in the video next week, we have set the groundwork for what we need to do. I look forward to getting started later this week and making a great video! Let me know below what you think of this outline.
My animated video plan is to use the film, The House I live in, from the Library of Congress. Frank Sinatra was a young man in this, who does some singing and talking nice to a group of children. I hope to have one boy ask him, “What is artificial intelligence anyway? His response will be, AI is like a super-smart computer that can do lots of things for us, like play games, recognize pictures, and even talk to us! But it’s important to remember that AI is just a machine, and it can’t do everything that humans can do. One cool thing about AI is that it can help us learn new things and make our lives easier. For example, AI can help us find the best route to take when we’re driving, or it can suggest the perfect gift for a friend based on their interests. However, it’s important to remember that AI is not a human, and it can’t feel the same way that we do. It can’t experience emotions like happiness, sadness, or anger. When you are older, you can watch Black Mirror, episode titled, Be Right Back, for an example of what I am saying. And it’s important to be careful when we’re talking to AI, because it can’t understand sarcasm or jokes the same way that humans do. Overall, AI is a really cool technology that can help us in many ways, but it’s important to use it responsibly and safely. And always remember that AI is just a machine, and it can’t replace the love and support of real humans!
I have not used Wav2lip before and I understand that the script needs to be 60 seconds or less. I plan to stack those one-minute sections. If that is unsuccessful, I will refer to the list of AI tools, for other options to troubleshoot.
I am currently working alone on my video project. I have come up with an idea to do an investigative journalist report or documentary about Evil Bricks. Where do they come from? What do they want?
I plan to find videos to turn into victim testimonials. I want to animate an Evil Brick to yell about something. I plan to do a voice over of footage of people walking on brick paths. I want Dr Oblivion to be the industry expert interviewed about AI. I am going to make Aggressive Technologies the accidental creator of Evil Bricks. So, if this doesn’t anger AT and make them sue what will?
I am currently trying to decide if Lady Alice is going to make the video in an effort to discredit AT or if I am going to make it as a student. I would be a student journalist and that would anger AT legal counsel.
