For this assignment we had to listen to one of our classmates’ radios show they created. I decided to listen to Pop Perceptive. Pop Perceptive looks into the AI side of Superheroes. The first that caught my attention was the music used. It was eye catching, and it was catchy, making the show fun and interesting as well as fun to follow along. Another thing I liked was the beginning conversation between the host and Jarvis. It really captured the feeling of a radio show or podcast vibe. Going back to the music aspect of the show, I really like the use of the same music throughout the show. It gives it a nice flow and ties the show together nicely. Another element I enjoyed was the voice change in the show. It gave an AI feel to the show as the host was explaining her section of the show. Really nice touch to the show, definitely a creative way of using AI. The conclusion at the end of the show was a great add, as it brought the whole show together. Overall, this show was put together very well, I was intrigued throughout the whole show and was eager to hear the next section of the show. The show kept getting more interesting as the music kept me on my toes and created more suspense to what was coming next. I would definitely listen to another show made by them. Let me know your thoughts about Pop Perceptive, if you attended the listening. Are they similar or different?

Week 2 Radio Show Progress
I decided to wait till after I completed my radio show to write this progress blog. The reason I did that was I wanted to blog about my whole experience with the project. I also wanted to focus on getting it completed and turned in on time. Now let’s get into my experience of this project. For starters working with my group was a pleasure, everyone did their part, and everyone communicated with one another. We had no conflicts with each other and worked diligently to complete our project in a timely manner. Looking at the radio show itself; we used Audacity to record our whole show. We had no issues with the application. We uploaded all of our different radio bumpers, intros, outros, and commercials to Audacity. From there it was a matter of just editing the recording session to blend all the different elements of radio show into one unison recording. I will admit the only thing our group struggled with was recording what we were going to say. We had to restart many times because we messed up our lines. This made me realize how hard it is to record radio shows or any type of audio and the process that goes into it to make it perfect. Other than that, I would say our radio show was a success. I can’t wait for you guys to hear it; I think you’ll enjoy it.
Radio Show Progress
As the week continues me and my group are making good progress on our radio show. We have some radio bumpers made as well as different intros made, so we can pick and choose which one we like the best for our radio show. We haven’t recorded anything yet, but our plan is to lay out all of our information we are going to talk about. Each person in the group is going to talk about their character and their day in the life as we all have different types of characters. Our plan is to use Audacity to record all our radio show and incorporate radio bumpers, an introduction, and potential incorporate ads throughout the show. We haven’t run into too much trouble yet, knock on wood. However, if we do, I am confident our group can figure out a solution to any issues that arise. I am excited to see how this radio show comes out. This is my first time creating one and I’m a little nervous but also very excited. Stay tuned for our finished product.
