PSA ā€“ Everlast Robotic Pets

I knew I wanted to do something with AI pets, when possible, this semester. I thought with a PSA it was a great opportunity. I watched Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers as a child. There is an episode with a robotic cat that is good until Fat Cat finds a way to make it bad. This gave me inspiration for the project.

What pulls on heart strings better than children? Pets. What if you could have a pet that never died. A pet you wouldn’t have to get a pet sitter for. A dog that never needed to go out in the middle of the night. Who wouldn’t want a pet like that as long as it acted and looked real for the most important parts! I bring you the Everlast Robotic Pet line. But Something has happened! A computer virus has been created to harm these pets!

For the sounds you hear I used clips I found on Free sound. You will find links for some of them below. For the voice I used https://www.narakeet.com

I watched another student’s work and really like the quality of the voice. They listed what website they used, and I book marked it for later use. I accidently closed the tab to their blog post so I regretfully cannot link it. I tried to find it but obviously have failed to do so. You know who you are so many people commented about how they were going to use your walk through of the process you did. Narakeet was a great find.

After I had my PSA all planned out, I saw this post A frank warning | raptnrent.me and wanted to add Frank with a doom and gloom message. So, I went through the steps (and didn’t need to read the instruction document this time!) and made my Frank without Franks voice. I used Wave2lip to make franks mouth match the recording I made with Narakeet. I then used Adobe Premier Rush to put the video together. I used pictures I had taken or made with Adobe generative AI to give you something to look at while the PSA played. I hope you enjoy!

To connect this to my character Lady Alice E. Smythe I will explain her feelings on the subject. She is quite annoyed that someone has figured out her plan to use Everlast Pets to spy on people. She had worked on this scheme for some time to help her collect information for her hostile takeover of Aggressive Technologies. She is now going to have to have the code reworked to get around the new antivirus software or figure out how to piggyback on what Aggressive Technologies is doing to spy on people. She will put some comments on chat boards to discredit the online chatter about using pets as spies. This company is poised to run the world in secret so she will do everything to be the one to run the company. AI can be a useful ally as long as it is under her control.

PSA: AI Information Incoming

For this assignment, I was tasked with creating a public service announcement about AIs. For my PSA I decided to talk about some background information about AI as well as some pros and cons to using AIs. To create my audio, I used Audacity, Pixabay, and speechgen.io. My first step was to find some background sound for my PSA announcement, using Pixabay I found a sound a liked. After that I used speechgen.io to create my text to speech of what I wanted my announcement to say. Once both were complete, I uploaded both to Audacity and meshed the two audios together and this is the final product. Hope you enjoy!

Hey, Whatā€™s That?

To start, I would like to introduce Jay-Z’s song, “Public Service Announcement.” I thought this would bring the PSA to life, along with my script. I uploaded the song to iMovie and then created a voiceover to allow listeners to be in tune with the audio recording. The PSA is about the concept of AI and it’s uses that impact many Americans. There are positives and negatives to AI and the companies who produce it, which are portrayed in the recording up above. The waves of the audio connects with my character’s thoughts on artificial intelligence, however, he must be careful of his thoughts, as they can have an impact in the work environment of Aggressive Technologies. Have fun listening!

PSA: Julius Lawrence vs Aggressive Technologies The Saga Continues

As part of this assignment, we had to make a PSA educating the public against aggressive technologies. I created my narration and added sounds and images using iMovie. View my completed project in the section below! By placing Julius Lawrence in the path of aggressiveĀ technologies, I advanced his story in the PSA.Ā The public service announcement shows the capacity for manipulation and power inherent in aggressive technologies. It highlights the significance of transparency in the development of AIĀ and challenges readers to consider the motivations behind aggressive technologies.

Public Service Announcement!

Another one of the assignments that we were required to complete this week was to create a public service announcement using our course character and relating it to the field of AI or Aggressive Technologies. So, for this assignment, I chose to talk about Aggressive Technologies and their mistreatment and unethical practices when it comes to their employees. Now a growing theme for my course character, I decided to make a public service announcement that talked about how Xander, my course character, has gone public with the information he has on Aggressive Technologies and the way their run their business. I enjoyed creating this video because I was able to use all the skills that I have developed over the past couple weeks to create this one work of art that can be used as a public service announcement. I did everything for the video from writing the announcement, to generating the image, to putting it all together in Openshot.

In order to create this video, I first started by using Eleven Lab’s text-to-speech product and wrote out what the actual announcement would be. From reading examples on the internet and having my own ideas, I was able to come up with a short 45-second announcement that contained all the major points that I wanted to convey while also trying to persuade the viewer/listener to support Xander’s endeavors. Once I created the script for the announcement, I had to convert it to a speech so I used Eleven Labs product to do that. Once I an audio file with the speech, I decided to add some background music to the speech so it did not sound so bare. I did that on audacity and had the sounds files overlap each other with the background music being a little less louder than the rest so that the speech could still be heard. Once I had the completed audio file with both the audio and the background music, I created a graph using an AI-chatbot so that I could turn it into a video, and I did that using OpenShot video editor, and once everything was put together I uploaded it to youtube to have a link to embed with this post. You can find my work down below. Like stated before, I enjoyed completing this assignment because it allowed to use all the skills that I have gained over the last couple weeks and put it all together to create one piece of work that represents those different newly-gained skills. I hope you enjoy!

WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED

This video was fun to do and took me a little less time than the other video assignments I did. I have learned a couple of tricks since the last post that I did. Here is how I made the PSA video:

  1. After you brainstorm you can get an Ai to build a prompt to give you an outside idea of how your video can look. For this I used this free resource: https://boords.com/ai-script-generator and wrote something along the lines of political video aimed at taking down aggressive technologies because they use loopholes in company contracts to leave millions jobless to put in place Ai.
  2. I used the script that boords created to create another script for my AI voice to read off of for my video and put it into narakeet (another free resource): https://www.narakeet.com/create/ai-voice-generator.html
  3. I also used the script to look up stock videos for my PSA on Flexclip another partially free resource. Note: If you run out of free stock videos to add, search for a video that you want in the search box and just right-click and save as. Then you can put a blank black box scene to your video and then replace that with the video that you saved! https://www.flexclip.com/editor/
  4. I then compiled all my videos to the audio of the AI and found a suspenseful track to add to give it a propaganda feel. Also, the text added at the end was purposefully red to give an intense and serious feeling to the video and appeal to the viewers’ emotions along with the clips. I then exported the clip with the free option to export with the watermark logo.

All in all, this took me about 2 hours start and finish including breaks. I hope you enjoy it.

Aggressive PSA ā€“ I make a video

This is a PSA video for Aggressive Technologies. I downloaded the clips from Youtube using 4K Video Downloader+. The AI voice is from TTSMaker. Below is the link to all the videos I downloaded and the music, which came from Freesound.

This video was much easier to make than last week’s videos, both because it is way shorter and because I was able to combine all my tools! Last week I learned more about editing, using text to speech, and downloading videos, so this time it was easy to incorporate everything.

I also learned that propaganda is fun to write. Between this and my poster, Aggressive Technologies is spreading evil left and right. Yay!
