Daily Create Roundup: Week 9

Here are my daily creates for week 9!

This first one was an AI generated photo of Mona Lisa if she was drawn in 2020 during the Covid era. Putting a modern spin onto this historical painting is kinda hilarious now that I look at it.

Next was to use the bead art tool website to turn any image of my choosing into bead art. I like how the city picture I used turned very linear. Some of the buildings look like they’re spelling out a word, like in the far left where the number 8 looks like it’s drawn.

The last create of the week was to upload my interpretation of “Agent 106”. I drew inspiration from the game Valorant and used the agent Cypher as my rendition of Agent 106. The use of cameras and other tech tools makes Cypher somewhat of a media enthusiast himself.

Back to Being Creative – Daily Creates

This week I did three daily creates. There were two image posts and one writing post. Below are each of my posts.

1. Fractalized Art

2. My Addiction.

Something I cannot live without (that isn’t a technical necessity) is my cat. His name is Moby and I’ve had him for a year now. He’s very silly (he’s orange) and even when he’s bothering me he makes me happy.

3. Old and New

Daily Creates Roundup: Week 7

Here are my daily creates for week 7!

This first one was a response to my own iteration of the “castle on the hill”. It is a very different from a traditional castle, but it was fitting from my point of view.

The next one was to share a picture that conveys joy.

I shared a picture of Jannik Sinner winning his first Grand Slam title. That first title winning feeling is definitely one filled with joy, and I immediately went to this moment to share as my daily create for the day.

The last create for this week was playing around with a Net Art generator to see what it would give me.

The keyword I used was “Space”, but I highlighted how the surface of earth looks like it’s going through a volcanic apocalypse. A little scary but maybe this was supposed to be a mashup of modern technology and prehistoric earth.

Week 7 Daily Creates

Here is my list of Daily Creates from this week!

Wednesday, 2/28’s Daily Create asked,

Share a picture, or photo, that conveys something pure. This could be a  person, an object, or a moment.

So I answered with the very obvious answer of my cat!

Her name is Cat, I’m pretty sure I’ve talked about her. She’s the purest thing I can think of, an actual blessing from above. Looking at her just makes me so happy. She’s my baby (she’s 12)!

Thursday, 2/29’s Daily Create said,

Generate your own Net Art based on a keyword search. But is it art? Share it out anyway …. and tell us what your keyword search term was. We’re a curious tribe.”

So, I did just that! I decided to put in the prompt “cat running for president” because I had a sudden visual in my head of a cat behind the presidental pedestal with a paw in the air greeting the audience, or saying something really powerful. Here’s what Net Art gave me.

It’s really just an amalgamation of images (I believe 8 different images) answering the prompt. It definitely didn’t give me what I imagined it to, but I didn’t ask for that specifically. Despite it, I think it’s very cool! I would not be voting for this cat, though . . . something about those eyes . . .

Friday, 3/1’s Daily Create was,

The Chrome Music Lab lets users experiment with different oscillators (square, sawtooth, triangle, and sine). Play around with the different oscillators by dragging your finger/mouse up and down each oscillator to change the its frequency. What are they saying or singing? Tell us, show us, or perhaps record a conversation/duet with your favorite oscillator.

This one was a lot of fun with, and each time I played with the little guys, it seemed like they were so excited. So I decided to answer with that, just explaining what they were doing in my post.

I decided these little guys were singing the song of their people, and if you see how excited they are, it’s because they never get the chance to sing this for new people! They’re eager for people to hear their song and know it! I mean, if I only had limited chances to sing my song to others, I’d be excited to sing it whenever possible!

Overall, very fun Daily Creates this week. I didn’t get a whole bunch of thoughts into them, but it did open my eyes and wake me up a little, getting me ready for the work I was going to do.

Images AND Text! – Daily Creates

This week I did three daily creates. This time they weren’t just images! I like making silly photos and it was surprising to see other types of daily creates. Maybe I’ve forgotten the non-image ones we did previously. Who knows?

Here is what I did:

1. Mouth Art

RuPaul walks the main stage.

2. Castle on the hill

I would like to go to the Trujillo Castle in Extremadura, Spain. Some episodes in Game of Thrones were filmed there and I think it would be fun to see.

3. Convey something pure

I always think of a lake that is completely still.

Daily Create Roundup: Week 6

Here are my daily creates for Week 6!

The first one is a poem about how nature was a teacher to me, and I wrote a poem about my experiences playing golf.

When the wind blows upon the little white ball,
one must go with the push rather than pull

One of the lessons I learned while playing this sport was that mother nature won’t adhere to our wishes and do whatever she pleases. It is the player’s responsibility to account for natural occurrences such as a wind, and play along with the elements rather than fight against it.

The next one is a quick photo edit over an old photo with a man listening to something.

I tried to overlay music notes I found on Google, but I had a hard time overlaying without the pictures hiding behind the background. A bit low effort, but this is all I could come up with in 10-15 minutes. And I think that’s fine. I’m coming to realize that it’s more about attempting the process with these daily creates, rather than striving for perfection.

Making silly little pictures – Daily Create

I did two daily creates this week. I tried to think outside the box and make them very weird.

1. Make an opposite of two words (never mind if one doesn’t really exist) and add two drawings (or photos) to it to make clear what your pun is.

2. Is Captain Felix happy? Maybe not. But tell or show in a remix why is he so happy. Or what his expression means.

Daily Create Roundup: Week 5

Here are my daily creates for week 5!

This first one was made with a tool from https://mutsuacen.com/ to draw any squiggly pattern the heart desires. There wasn’t any specific instructions for this create other than to mess around with it. I decided to create an intersecting object with geometric patterns that squiggle around. No particular meaning behind it but it looks cool!

The last one was a poem portrait where the user puts in a word of their choice along with a picture of themselves, and Google generates a portrait wall along with a gradient of colors. Not sure how the selfie affects the end result and what the AI algorithm does with it, but I did this a few times with different results each time.
