For the assignments this week it was all about coordinating within our groups how we are planning and formatting the show. I think my group is making really good progress and we are getting into the swing of things after a group text was created as our primary means of communication. We all agreed on the name of the show and finalized the overall theme of what we will be discussing which is AI movies and giving reviews on them as well as going over media perceptions about AI. I am excited to continue working within my group to create something that I think is going to be pretty cool! I also found it funny that my course character has a “twin”!

For the second audio assignment, I decided to go with a commercial that supports Laylas point about standing with local artist. She doesn’t want to promote anything negative about Aggressive Technlogies because she does appreciate the levels of advancement they have done in the technological space, but she wants everyone to take a step back and appreciate art and artist for what it is so here is my short audio commercial with an AI voiceover.

This week one of our assignments was to create something to design something to promote are radio shows. Since Layla is a manga artist I wanted the art style in the poster to have aspects of anime art style with hints of old school anime elements. The radio show is focused on talking about pop culture pertaining to movies, books, and tv shows in a podcast talking style so I designed the poster in Canva. There is an AI generating tool that I was able to use to specify the art design and overall concept I wanted the show to have and from there I used another design features that Canva offers. The vibe of this podcast is to create a relaxing experience for the listeners while our course characters talk about fun and engaging content. This was a relatively easy week after spring break! The first few weeks I feel like I spent hours on hours trying to figure out how to use the new platforms and learning how to complete the assignments. This week we had to focus on three daily crates and a AI pitch assignment. I didn’t realized how much AI has gained popularity and how many different platforms are out there. Hey everyone, this week has been incredibly busy, I have enjoyed viewing all levels of creativity and everyone’s personal spin on the assignments. One thing I am learning is how much software there is out there to create. Before this class audio editing and video editing was a completely foreign concept for me and in some way it still is. I think it will require to one do some more research outside of the platforms that I really like to use already and learn about new ones. I really enjoyed creating the propaganda poster as well as the PSA video.

One thing I will say is this class is definitely creative and innovative. Everyone has such a different way of thinking and perspective on how to go about creating their PSAs. Laylas was surprised at the number of strong feelings there were in regard to Aggressive technologies. She doesn’t have much of a opinion about it and she mainly wanted to shine a light on the artist side more than anything. She liked the propaganda that was done in Sols World poster. Layla notes that any post the highlights any sort of creativity always gets a vote in her book.

I created this PSA video to create the message that aggressive technologies may be advancing us in a plethora of ways, but art should not be considered one of them. I wanted to keep the message itself very short and to the point but highlighting what Laylas interpretation of what art should be viewed as. She does not believe in spreading negativity about aggressive technologies because she simply doesn’t pay attention to all of what they are doing. What she does want to point out is while the AI generated art is fun its not something that should be considered “art” she thinks calling it art takes away from what artist spend hours and hours on end creating.
