Next Up: Radio Show – Week 9 Complete

I began this week by working with my group to plan and get ready for the radio show that will air the following week. Details of our work are available at Radio Show Progress. Essentially, we have already finished the script, bumpers, advertisements, and logo designs; all we need to do is assemble the finished product next week. I’m eager to see how everything works out the following week and hope that everything goes smoothly. I then started working on the blog and logo for Radio Show Design. I made this poster using Stable Diffusion AI, which you can find here: Radio Show Design Project. Let me know what you think! Our group made the decision that each of us would design our own logo, and the following week, we would select the best one to use for our radio program. Since I’m not the best at design, I’m hoping one of my group members comes up with a somewhat better design than mine! I then left comments on multiple posts made by my classmates, the majority of which were daily creates. It’s always interesting to watch how my classmates, as opposed to myself, interpret their replies to all of our assignments. I then finished two audio assignments, a radio bumper and a commercial, for the audio show that will air the following week. You can find my radio bumper here: Radio Bumperr and my commercial assignment here: Radio Commercial. I finally finished off this week’s work by completing the daily creates on Sunday: Daily Create #1, Monday: Daily Create #2, and Tuesday: Daily Create #3. Compared to when I started this course, I think my ability to be creative with the daily create tasks is improving.

I completed the assignments without any problems this week as well. Preparing for the audio show the next week has been my favorite part of this week. Writing the script, filming the commercial, and designing the bumper have all been enjoyable projects. All I can hope for is that next week’s audio show turns out fantastic!

I really wouldn’t change a thing. I believe I did the best I could on each assignment. At this moment, I have no questions. As of right now, everything is completed accurately thus there aren’t any significant problems with my work.

Radio Bumper Part #2

Making a radio bumper is the second audio assignment I choose to complete this week in anticipation of the radio show the following week. It is crucial to have radio bumpers, as I discovered while listening to DS106 radio. I believe that in order to seamlessly transition back into the broadcast after the commercials, my group mates and I intend to incorporate our bumpers. Audacity was how I made my bumper. Check out the audio below, and share your thoughts with me! Next week, it will be presented on our radio show.

Rhoback Should Hire Me

I’ve decided to start my audio assignments by making a commercial to air on my radio show the following week. It’s a commercial for these purposes, but it almost feels more like an advertisement. I made the decision to choose a clothing brand at random, and since I had previously seen ads for Rhoback, I chose them. I made this commercial with Audacity. Check out the advertisement below to learn more about the Rhoback! It will also be featured in the radio show that premieres the following week!

Poster Notes

Here’s a picture of the poster I made for our audio show. Since I’m not the best at design, I relied on AI to help me make the poster. The three course characters that make my group are depicted in the poster. This poster’s style makes me think of celebrity athletes who band together, join the same team, and pose for their first group photo. If you are unfamiliar with the subject matter, please view this image:

As you can see, I tried to go for a future aesthetic with the three course characters on my poster. I chose to utilize a poster without text because I didn’t like how AI photos displayed text in the past. till, I acknowledge that it would have been helpful to include the show’s name.

Radio Show Chronicles

In order to facilitate easy communication this week and the following week, my group members and I started this week by setting up a Discord chat. As a group, we determined that our audio show would focus on the experiences of our course characters with artificial intelligence, specifically with Aggressive Technologies. Since we have three people and require three of each, it works out well that each person should design their own radio bumper and commercial for the project. I believe it would be ideal to use my two audio tasks this week as the radio bumper and commercial, however I’m not sure what my group members choose to do. I used Audacity to create these two different audios, and I anticipate that we will use Audacity for our audio show as well. However, we will probably settle on that next week. We then concluded it would be best to write our script for the following week. Because then we just have to concentrate on filming our portions, creating an opening and a closing, transitional components, background noise, including music, etc., next week will be much easier as long as we set the framework for our show. My contribution to the writing of our show’s script has been substantial. In the end, we decided that each of us would make a logo or poster for the show in that blog for this week. Next week, we will choose our favorite and use it for the show.

Halfway Done – Week 8

This week’s major assignment required us find a free AI program, test it out, and determine its capabilities, advantages, and disadvantages. You can find the AI tool I used at Chef GPT. According to the assignment, Aggressive Technologies wants to increase the scope of its AI capabilities. For this reason, Julius Lawrence, my course character, will convince Aggressive Technologies to acquire ChefGPT. To learn why Julius Lawrence believes Aggressive Technologies would be wise to purchase ChefGPT, read my blog at Julius Lawrence AI Pitch. The second task for this week was to form our group for the upcoming audio project. Using the names of our course characters, Rishi and I have already formed our group on the Google Spreadsheet called “Julius and Xander Talk!” that was published on Discord. We will talk about AI news and our characters’ own encounters with aggressive technologies in our radio show. As of right now, our group consists of just two individuals, so get in touch if you’d want to join! Next, on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, I completed the daily creates at these links: Sunday’s Daily Create, Monday’s Daily Create, and Tuesday’s Daily Create. This week’s daily creations were fun exercises that let me think creatively and open my thinking. I made some comments on some of my classmates’ work to wrap out the week. All in all, a productive workweek!
I completed the assignments without any problems this week as well. The AI pitch was undoubtedly my favorite project because I always enjoy working with the character. I had the opportunity to investigate a number of AI tools before settling on ChefGPT.
I really wouldn’t alter a thing. I believe I did the best I could on each assignment. At this moment, I have no questions. As of right now, everything is completed accurately thus there aren’t any significant problems with my work.

Aggressive Technologies –> Upgrade

Greetings, Aggressive Technologies. I believe I have something that could benefit your company, even if you are some of the last people I want to talk to right now. Despite the fact that you promote your business as the biggest and best, I’ve heard that some of your staff members are unhappy with certain aspects of working at your headquarters.

Even if your business has a ton of AI tools at its disposal to help clients, I doubt that you guys are constantly thinking about your workers. I’m going to introduce you to this AI program, which is named ChefGPT. Ultimately, this will improve the lunch and food options available at the Aggressive Technologies headquarters, raising employee satisfaction levels all around.

With the use of this software, you can tell the AI what you have in your pantry, what kind of food you’re craving (breakfast, lunch, or dinner), what culinary tools you have on hand, how much time you have to cook, and how skilled you are in the kitchen. Once you enter all of this data, a dish with detailed cooking directions is displayed. The following example demonstrates:

Other variations of this AI model include MealPlanChef, MacrosChef, and MasterChef, all of which follow a similar model. To improve employee happiness and the general work culture, I believe it would be beneficial to hire a few chefs to assist with preparing these meals and meal plans.

I think you should trust me about getting this AI tool, even though we aren’t the best of friends. Your business will only gain from it!

Let me know your thoughts.

Week 7 = Done

During the 7th week, I began by making some propaganda. I chose to present my propaganda from the perspective of Aggressive Technologies. Click this link to view my propaganda photo and blog Propoganda Poster and Blog. Next, I continued to develop the course character’s story in the audio/video PSA. He is regrettably stuck between Xander Neurotic, his friend, and Aggressive Technologies. Please watch my PSA by clicking this link, PSA: Julius Lawrence and Aggressive Technologies. Afterwards, I completed the daily creates on Monday: Daily Create #1 , Tuesday: Daily Create #2,  and Wednesday: Daily Create #3. This week’s daily creates were enjoyable to work on; the subjects were interesting and helped inspire my ideas for some of the other tasks. Next, after seeing their daily creates, PSAs, and propaganda, I left comments on a few posts made by my classmates. Observing how classmates employed aggressive technologies in ways that were similar to or different from mine to develop the stories of their course characters was entertaining. It was a wonderful assignment to tie my character to other people’s content. I then created the final blog post about how my course character would relate to a few of my classmates propaganda posters and PSAs. Because he dislikes aggressive technologies, Julius Lawrence, my course character, did not find the PSAs and propaganda posters he saw to be all that appealing. Visit that blog at this link: Julius’ Reactions.

This week, too, I finished the assignments without any issues. This week, making my own PSA was the task I most loved. By making the PSA, I was able to combine my knowledge of audio, graphics, and sounds into a single project. It is always a pleasure to advance the story of my course character, particularly when it involves him and Aggressive Technologies. Sincerely, I have no idea where I will take my story next, but I can’t wait to keep developing the plot.

Honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing. I think I completed each task to the best of my ability. I don’t have any questions right now. Right now, everything was finished accurately, thus my work isn’t experiencing any major issues.

Julius’ Thoughts on Classmates Posts

Writing a blog post detailing my character’s response to some of the designs and PSAs created by the other students in the class is the final assignment for week 7. I started by writing about this propaganda assignment: Propoganda Assignment. Because Julius, my course character, is a traditionalist and believes that AI should not take over the world, even though he enjoys some features of it, would not approve of this propaganda image. Additionally, Julius believes that aggressive technologies will incorporate AI. Furthermore, Julius would undoubtedly voice concerns about the author’s scenario, in which Aggressive Technologies collaborates with CIA cybersecurity. He would be concerned about possible misuse and invasion of privacy. Though Julius would not approve of the propaganda ad overall, he would acknowledge the great potential of AI in improving cybersecurity.

This PSA was the second post I looked at, found atPSA Assignment. Julius would begin by praising the good things mentioned in the PSA and stressing how crucial it is to maintain human contact. Julius would voice concerns about the prospect of AI being involved in every aspect of human activity, even while he acknowledges AI’s contributions to the construction of robot companions and the creation of art. Julius would support caution when using AI in order to make sure that it complements rather than takes the place of the special attributes of human connection.

PSA: Julius Lawrence vs Aggressive Technologies The Saga Continues

As part of this assignment, we had to make a PSA educating the public against aggressive technologies. I created my narration and added sounds and images using iMovie. View my completed project in the section below! By placing Julius Lawrence in the path of aggressive technologies, I advanced his story in the PSA. The public service announcement shows the capacity for manipulation and power inherent in aggressive technologies. It highlights the significance of transparency in the development of AI and challenges readers to consider the motivations behind aggressive technologies.
